You're a hoot!

Good morning My Mum's Craft Shop fans....
A quick make from me today using the  fab new MFT stamp set called  "Forest Friends " . I used Kraft card as the base and covered with a sheet from the yummy "Proper Pinstripes" paper pad. I stamped on a second piece of Kraft using the little leaf and acorn from the Forest Friends set, and then embossed it with a clouds embossing folder from my stash. I die cut a branch, and popped the adorable little owl on, also from the stamp set. The sentiment was embossed using white embossing powder.
Altogether a quick make, I love it!!!
Have a great day!!!

Stamping Bella - Leo the Balancing Stuffie

Hello everyone! It's Annette here today, and I've used the super cute Leo the Balancing Stuffie and a Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Smile Script Die to create this uber simple card.

I was really nervous about die cutting the image after I'd spent so long painting him, so instead I stamped the image a second time and coloured in a small portion to ensure that I cut the sentiment die straight before adding it on top of my main image.

You Are Unforgettable

Good Morning!
Kitty here, standing in for Jane as she's recovering from an op on her hand, bless her. She will be back crafting again soon so watch this space for her return :) Just thought I would share one of my magazine makes which was in Making Cards Magazine last month using lots of products from My Mums Craft Shop.
I created this card using the MFT Adorable Elephants Stamps which we  hope to have back in stock very soon. I coloured them with my Copics and using the matching dies to die cut them out. The sentiment is stamped onto black card and embossed with white embossing powder. The background was created with distress inks on some watercolour card. I die the background panel using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics and mounted it onto my card blank.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Mama Elephant Pandamonium

Happy Friday everyone!

Simonne here with a card to share using some yummy Mama Elephant goodies!

Mama Elephant Stamps: Pandamonium
Mama Elephant Creative Cuts dies: Pandamonium

Mama Elephant Stamps: Labeled Messages
Mama Elephant Creative Cuts dies: Sew Fancy
Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock

Tim Holtz Distress ink: Picked Raspberry
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

I started off by covering my card front with some black & white striped paper. I then cut out the stitched panel from Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock using the largest die from the Sew Fancy die set.  I masked off a horizontal strip using post-it tape and then inked it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, then fixed the panel to my card front.

I stamped one of the adorable pandas from Panadamonium in black ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating Pandamonium dies.  Then I stamped one of the sentiments from Labeled Messages (love this set so much!) and cut that out by hand.  I placed both pieces onto my card front so that I could figure out where to stamp the stick from Pandamonium for the panda to hold the message. Once I'd done that, I fixed the panda and the sentiment to the card front using foam pads.

To finish, I added some stamped stars (smallest stars are from WPlus9 Unforgettable and the larger outline star is from Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes).

Remember, if you would like to purchase any products that are currently showing as "out of stock" in the MMCS store, simply call or send Kitty a message and she will be able to order them in for you!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

A little bit krafty...

Hi's a wee quickie from me this evening!

This has to be one of the easiest cards to make, so first I die cut a piece of kraft card, I then stamped a few different stamps from the set called Water Blooms from Mama Elephant using a versamark stamp and then embossed with with embossing powder. Unfortunately this stamp set is out of stock but will be available soon. I then stamped some black spots. I aslo added black to the centres of a few of the flowers just for a little more detail.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I added a die- cut scalloped strip and added some litte gems to this.

Good morning My Mum's Craft Shop fans....
A super cute make to share today, after grabbing the fabby new MFT releases this month!!!
I used the English Brickwall stencil with chalks to create the background, and the Scallop die over the Proper Pinstripes paper pad.
I used the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun die set for the photo framed shaker and popped on the cute kitty and bowl from the Cool Cats stamp set. To finish I used the marvellous new "Hello" die cut from the MFT "Hello there" die set.
I just love how all the MFT releases work so well together and with other die sets.
See you all soon, but don't forget to check out the goodies available in store.

Stamping Bella: Maisy and Madeline have some Tea

Hello, it's Annette here, and today is my first post since I joined the uber talented DT at My Mum's Craft Shop (I'm a teensy bit nervous!)

My d├ębut creation features Stamping Bella's Woodsies Maisy and Madeline have some tea. It's my first time stamping these little furballs too, and I must admit I think they're adorable.

I made this card as a Good Luck card, but really the image could be appropriate for almost any occasion, possibly even a 'with sympathy' which I find is a really difficult theme to get right.

I also think this image would make a great 'thinking of you' card, which are my favourites because those kind of cards just whisper in someone's ear: 'even though it's not a special occasion day, you're still in my thoughts'.

Goodies used:
I hope you like my card and I hope you have fun creating.

Splish Splash

Good Morning!
Kitty here - I have a very bright and colourful card to share with you today. I am loving the on trend 'mermaids' and 'unicorns' at the moment so I decided to have a play with the new Doodlebug Under The Sea Collection...
This card is made entirely from papers & stickers! The papers are of course the Doodlebug Under The Sea Paper Pad - we are due another delivery within the next week or so, so make sure you look out for that. I also used the matching Cardstock Stickers. If you pop them up on 3d foam pads or mount them onto card you can turn them into toppers. I mounted everything onto white card for a clean look. I also used Stitched Scallop Edges, Double Stitched Circle Die-namics and a embossing folder. I added some sparkly self adhesive rhinestones to finish.

Have a lovely day :)

New MFT Release

It's new release for My Favorite Things and as always we have the new release all in stock now here in the UK at My Mums Craft Shop! If you haven't seen it yet, pop over and have a browse - it's a fabulous release yet again - I don't know how they keep doing it!
I couldn't wait to create something with the new releases so I have already created a quick card...
I did a fair bit of watercolouring for this card. The background panel is a watercolour effect panel I created with my Spectrum Noir Aqua Pens, I also coloured the flowers with them too. The flowers are the new Build-able Bouquet Stamps & Dies. You can also get the stamps on their own. The word is from the new Hello There Die-namics Set. I also used the Wonky Rectangles & Double Stitched Rectangles along with some gems.

Cool Cup Duo

Hello, Kitty here! I just thought I would share with you a fun card which can be for any occasion and perfect for those that love Starbucks!
So for this card I used lots of products by MFT which are available from MMCS. They are; Cool Cup Stamps & Dies and Double Stitched Circle Dies. I created the background using a triangle stencil used a dot stencil on the cups. The lids were made using plain vellum for a more frosty style - you could also use acetate too. I added a couple of Enamel Dots onto the sentiment banner to finish.

WPlus9 Foxy Friends: Cat

Hi everyone and welcome to the final day of my 3-day series showcasing WPlus9's Foxy Friends and Bountiful Blooms die sets.  On Friday I shared the card I made with the fox, yesterday I shared the card I made with the raccoon, and today I am sharing the card I made with the cat:

WPlus9 Foxy Friends
WPlus9 Bountiful Blooms
WPlus9 Sunshine Layers

Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Date Swirl,

Sweet Pea, Pear Crush, Blueberry Pie

To create the cat, I cut out parts B and D from grey card,
and B and F from white card:

I then cut out part C from some scrap card (shown here in white),
lined it up on top of the grey head (using the eye holes as a guide),
and used it as a guide to snip away the bottom part of the grey head:

I then glued the grey head on top the white head, and then glued the head and the tail directly onto the body (part D).  I cut out an additional head from pink and grey card, then used the tiny waste pieces to add blue eyes and pink ears to my kitty. I cut out a nose from pink card using die E and glued this to his face, as shown.  Finally, I drew a mouth and stripes using a grey fineliner:

As with the previous 2 cards, the white stitched scalloped rectangle was cut using my WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set, and ALL the other die-cuts (blooms, leaves, butterfly, dots, banner and sentiment etc.) were cut using my WPlus9 Bountiful Blooms die set:

Here are all 3 cards I made using these die sets:

I hope you've enjoyed my mini series of tutorials and found them helpful.  If you have made anything using the Foxy Friends or Bountiful Blooms die sets,  please add a link in the comments below so I pop over to see what you have created!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

WPlus9 Foxy Friends: Raccoon

Hi everyone and welcome to the second day of my 3-day series showcasing WPlus9's Foxy Friends and Bountiful Blooms die sets.  Yesterday I shared the card I made with the fox (click here if you want to take a peek), and today I am sharing the card I made with the raccoon:

WPlus9 Foxy Friends
WPlus9 Bountiful Blooms
WPlus9 Sunshine Layers

Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Date Swirl, Blackberry Swirl,

Flinstone, Blueberry Pie, Ocean Breeze, Pear Crush

To create the raccoon, I cut out parts B, D and G/H from dark grey card,
C, E (not shown in the photo!) and F from black card, and B from white card:

Next, I glued the grey stripes (parts G/H) onto the black tail (part F),
and the black eye stripe (part C) and nose (part E) onto the white head (part B):

I then trimmed away the top part of the white head,
following the top line of the black eye stripe (part C):

I cut out an extra head from black and grey card so that I could add black ears and grey eyes:

Again, the white stitched scalloped rectangle was cut using my WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set, and all the other die-cuts (blooms, leaves, butterfly, dots, banner and sentiment etc.) were cut using my WPlus9 Bountiful Blooms die set:

Thanks so much for much for joing me again today. Tomorrow I will be sharing the last card of this mini series using this die set which features the cat, so I hope you can pop back then!
