Take a seat!

So how far have you got with your Christmas card making?! All this week we are sharing some Christmas inspiration so if your Christmas creative juices need a little kick-starting don't forget to check out all the DT posts this week...

I'm showcasing some Papermania Christmas products today. This gorgeous stamp is called At Christmas- Chair. I absolutely love this stamp, so so perfect for those traditional cards and it is a dream to colour on kraft. The papers I've chosen are Papermania Christmas in the Country which complement kraft really well. The sentiment is one of two that comes with the stamp set die cut using Fishtail Flags Stax. A final bit of embellishment with a diecut Let It Snowflake Dienamic.

Yuletide Blessings

.. can you even believe the title of this post? I SURE CAN'T!!

Regardless, I am MORE than happy to recieve a push in the direction of making my Christmas cards. It's gotta be started sooner or later, right? I hate the stress of rushing towards the end of November, and being totally overwhelmed with the number you have to make!!

Onwards I say, let's have Christmas in August!!

I've started with some delicious papers from the new First Edition Silent Night paper stack. Then, I die cut a bunch of My Favorite Things Winter Wreath from green and pale grey cardstock to layer up. After that, I die cut some buttons, a bow and some postage stamp edges (all from MFT) from Cherry Cobbler cardstock for embellishing.

I then added some blue and pale yellow buttons with twine and added some faux stitching.

It looks quick and easy.. and it is. If you don't hand stitch all of the buttons on. What a FAFF!! I cannot help myself though. I hate the look of an 'empty' button, I think they look totally unfinished. So.. on I will trudge hand stitching/threading buttons! :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope I have encouraged you to get cracking with your Christmas cards. xo

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with my weekly post using some of the fabulous products available from My Mum's Craft shop. Afternoon tea!

I've a very simple decoupage card to share with you today but first a quick reminder...

Kitty is holding a SHOP DISCOUNT DAY on Sat 31st August 10am to 3pm- check out the website for more deets!

This card is made using Tilly Daydream Decoupage Pack- Sledge. Whilst it has, like the name suggests, some Christmasy decoupage, it also has an Autumnal image and this cute afternoon tea one- perfect for those quick birthday cards. I framed the decoupage using a nestie and then mounted on these gorgeous MME papers called Up And Away- they literally could've been made for this decoupage! Finished off with some heart pearls. Job done!

Mmmm, love afternoon tea!

Better late than never!

A little bit late with this card! Better late than never, right?

So it's a free week over at My Mum's Craft Shop this week. I decided to create some Some Odd Girl goodness. I have missed these stamps a LOT!

I used the clear stamp sets:
Hey Kaylee

Have no hesitation in contacting Kitty if you would like her to order any specific stamp sets in. She is very accommodating if you'd like something which isn't listed in the shop!

I have also used a bunch of papers from My Minds Eye Collectable Noteable. Gorgeous, bright and summery colours.

I'm gonna try and wrap this up here and let you have a gander at the card! :)

As well as Some Odd Girl stamps, I used a sentiment stamp from My Favorite Things - Birthday Greetings to add a large greeting. I needed something large so it wouldn't get lost in all of the wildlife along the grass verge! ;)

There are lots of new arrivals in the shop too. Including NEW STAMPING BELLA UPTOWN GIRLS and MARTHA STEWART SILICONE MOULDS

Swanky Snowdude!

Good morning all! I hope you had a lovely weekend! It's Beth here again with a card for you all and I'm also kicking off a new blog theme for the week, which is a free choice week.
I suddenly realised that I haven't made a single Christmas card this year when normally I've made loads by now! This had to be rectified so this card was born! :-)

I started off stamping this cute fella (complete with moustache and pipe - hee hee!) from Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in with Copics. He's cut out using a circle die (Die'Namics Circle Stax) and finished off with a swoosh of Stickles.

The background is made using the little snowflakes from the same snowman set and are just stamped randomly across the card blank. I stamped the two banners too, one with My Favourite Things Darling Dots, and the other with a sentiment from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler. Quick and simple to recreate and could be made in different colour ways to make a little set! Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Quilt Pattern Card

Hello everyone,

Maria here with a new card for MMCS.  Well, this card is really interesting because I was inspired by the awsome quilt art. I love sewing but I think making an actual quilt blanket is pure pain! So I made a card!

The card looks easy but to be honest be prepared. It takes some time to cut each square. But the result is great! I really like it! To make this card, you only need awsome pattern paper! I used Bohemian Bamboo  paper pack from Prima.  Hope you try this one out! Share your creations with us over at MMCS Facebook page. Have a great weekend!

Garden Shelves

Hey peeps! How is your week going? As you know, this week we are showcasing our creations featuring Kraft...

I decided to go full-on kraft by stamping and colouring directly onto kraft cardstock. This is a Little Claire Designs stamp called Garden Shelves. It's beautifully large and is fab to colour- so much scope for as much detailed colouring as you want! I coloured with pencils. I really wanted to make a feature of the stamp so chose a very simple layout adorned with twine and a Cabochon.

Here's your close up! So much fun to colour!

Have a great week! x

Have a Lovely Day!

It's Lou Mac here, this week Kitty wants to see us use some Kraft on our creations.

I took huge HUGE inspiration from Jennifer McGuire for my card. She is amaze-balls. Obviously mine is no where near as perfect as hers, but I did give it a good go. I cannot recommend her blog highly enough!

I used My Favorite Things Sweet Roses and matching dies to create the flowers and some masks. I first stamped them in white chalk ink then used a mixture of different coloured dye inks, for a bright, summery card. The sentiment in the centre of the oval negative is from the same Sweet Roses set.

I didn't used any patterned paper on this card, as I thought the Kraft and the brightly coloured flowers spoke volume themselves. For some final embellishment I added some pearls, liquid pearls and some stickles.

That's all from me this week. I hope you're having as much fun as I am Tayside!! Loves.

Just a note

Hiya! I hope you all have had a relaxing weekend! Monday is here again so that means its my turn (Beth) to post a card for you! As you saw yesterday with Jane's fabulous card, this weeks blog theme is Kraft card. It always makes me think of country cottage style cards, so that's what I went with! I used this square kraft card blank and cut it down to a C6 card (I often do this as it leaves me with perfectly matching scraps for die-cutting!)

I pulled out this gorgeous Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set from My Favourite Things, along with the matching Die'namics dies, some inks and twine, and the new Echo Park Beautiful Life paper pad - I love it! Definitely one to hang out on my desk for a while!

My sentiment was made with the text from the stamp set, and these cute Tag Stax DieNamics dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a lovely week!

Kraft it theme week at My Mum's Craft Shop

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I have made a card using some printable topper from Pink Petticoat and some of the gorgeous new Chalk Studio paper from My Mind's Eye.

I printed the image and sentiment onto kraft and cut it out into a rectangle. I added it to a Dienamics postage edge rectangle and sewed around the edges. I layered the letters paper onto blue paper from the pad and stitched around the edges and wrapped with ribbon and twine before adding to the card.

I finished with some buttons, a brad and some tiny stick on pearls. Make sure you join us next week for more Krafty creations! Have a lovely Sunday!

Hello everyone,

Maria here today with a new creation for MMCS. I love coloring stamped images, but sometimes the process can take a long time. But the result is always great! I simply loved working with sweet stamp Emily with Dandelion.

For the pattern paper I used Bohemian Bamboo pack from Prima. Really great quality paper. I just adore Prima paper. Here is a quick advice from me to you. Begin by coloring the focal image and then work on your embellishments. Try to keep the same color combo. That's it from me today. Have a lovely day!

A Summer Wedding

It's Lou Mac here today with some free inspiration. I went with a wedding card, using a stamp set you may not initially think of when thinking of a wedding!!

This card has been prettied up using the Pretty Poppies set from My Favorite Things, and they've been stamped up using dye ink and chalk ink. A very clean and simple card. My customer wanted light, white and bright. She's heading off to a summer wedding in Turkey at the end of the month, so I thought the pinks and oranges would be perfect. If you weren't a big flower person, you probably wouldn't even know these were poppies! :)

As for embellishment I added some Baby Blue Stickles and Liquid Pearls. Done.

Thank you for stopping by. xo

Fly Me to the Moon

Hi there everyone it's Shelly here with my card for this week.  It's a free week this week so I decided to use a stamp I've had my eye on for ages!

I usually have an idea in my mind when I start a card of what I'm going to do but in this case I did not have a clue so just went with the flow.

I've used the gorgeous Blank Canvas paper pad by First Edition.  It's one of my favourites and I love the soft ice cream colours.

Basically I've then die cut an assortment of different circles from the Dienamics Circle Stax Set Two and arranged them on the card.  I've pricked around the edges of each circle and drawn stitching on with a fineliner (let's face it I just can't make a card without doing this somewhere on it !).

The lovely bunny image is Away We Go from The Cat's Pajamas and I've coloured him with Copics and paper pieced the balloon with more papers from the pad.

The sentiment is also from this stamp set and to embellish I've added a few Kraft stars and some Westminster Card Candi to finish.

Hope you all have a lovely day, we had a lousy rainy day here yesterday so we are off to enjoy the sunshine today.

Shelly x

I'm here now though with a little card for you all. This week we'll all be showcasing cards with an 'Anything Goes' theme - nice and simple for my simple brain! Lol! I made a card using a stamp from one of my fave My Favorite Things sentiment sets and these funky My Minds Eye papers, I hope you like! Details below on all the goodies! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with a little CAS card I have made using one of the Clearly Besotted stamp sets. I love these stamp sets as they are perfect for making quick and stylish cards. The stamps I have used for this card are from the Warm Wishes set which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

I used Kraft card to cut a square which I mounted onto a scalloped square which I cut from black card and then stamped the cup and steam onto it. I stamped the sentiment onto a tiny punched tag and added this with twine to the scalloped square. I then added this to the card base. I finished with a little wooden button and a tiny paper rose. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Hello,  Maria here with a quick GDT card.  This is my first post on this blog , so please be gentle! Before I start saying about my card, I must tell how impressed I am with the super fast shipping. So feel free to get your cart ready to add some great supplies from MMCS.
With a few supplies, you can create the same card. For the card base, I used kraft cardstock, white cardstock and pattern paper Bohemian Bamboo pack from Prima. For the main image I used Emily with Dandelion. For colouring I used Inktense pencils.  To finish off the card, add the sentiment, a few pearls and that's it! Have a great day!
