..for my best pal.

It's Lou Mac here to show you some inspiration for ANIMALS!!

Of course this was the perfect opportunity for me to use my new stamp set from Paper Smooches.

I used the adorable fluffy dog, along with the bowl and bone. I coloured them up with my ProMarkers. Really quick and easy to do. I think we sometimes forget that we don't always need to colour in complex images with our alcohol markers - they work beautifully for more simple images too as they lay down a nice, even coverage.

I used a slice of paper from Echo Park Here and Now collection and stamped the little heart from the stamp set along the top of the patterned paper in some coloured dye inks.

That's all I got for ya today! Be sure to stop by the SHOP which is always being stocked with new product!! xx

Welcome Baby Boy

Hi there everyone it's Shelly here stopping by with my card for this week.  This week we have an animal theme and this was a bit of a challenge for me as I don't tend to 'feature' animals on my cards!

Then I sat down and had a think and inspiration struck, as it does, and I decided to use this fabulous Woodware Noah's Ark clear stamp to make a baby card.

The stamp is a great size for a 6 x 6 card and I sat for ages colouring it with my Copics and hey I know I've coloured the fish green and you don't see many green fish (or at least I never have) but call it artistic licence, I needed some green to match in with the papers !

The papers are from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Boy 6 x 6 pad and I have to say these are some of my favourite papers so far this year.  As a contrast I've matted everything onto dark brown cardstock.

I haven't added a great deal of embellishment to this card as the stamp takes up quite a large part of it but I've used some twine and a chunky green button and made a fancy scalloped edge using one of the dies from the Crafts Too Frames 8 die set.

Well I'm off now, be sure to keep stopping by to check out what the rest of the DT girls have in store for you this week.

You Party Animal......

Good Monday morning everyone, I do hope that you all had a great weekend. This is my last post as GDT over at My Mums Craft Shop and this weeks theme is animals.

I have used a couple .. ok 4 Paper Smooches stamps sets to come up with my card for this week.....

Hehehe... how cute are these little guys?!?! I love how different PS sets can be used together and not look out of place at all.

These animals come from two sets, Zoo Crew and Happy Camper, and the sentiments from Pretty Phrases and Birthday Sampler.

I have used MME- Collectable Notable to paper piece the cute little animals before adding shading and details with some copics

Well ciao for now.

On my card I have used these gorgeous goodies that are available on the website...

I'm here for you..

Today it's my turn to share some inspiration and I decided to use a bunch of my new My Favorite Things stamps and dies to create this CAS card.

So I started by die cutting some white card stock with the Die-namics Wildflowers die and then stamping the Peaceful Wildflowers stamps using some marker pens. I allowed the ink to sit on the stamp for a little longer than usual, and then huffed on them. It produced a slightly.. watercolour look? Love it! :)

I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto some green cardstock and added some natural hemp cord to the two edges and laytered it over the top of the flowers. As for the kraft backdrop, I stamped the gorgeous woodgrain border pattern from Western Backgrounds in a kraft ink onto some kraft card. Using Versamark would give you the same effect.

Lastly, I added some gorgeous, bright, orange patterned paper from Echo Park as a backdrop to the rest of the CAS design. :)

That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by.

Be sure to check out the new arrivals.

Hey everyone it's Shelly here popping in with my card for this week.

We have a free choice theme this week and it's always hard to choose which goodies to use lol !

I've gone with a fairly simple card this week making the main emphais on the image which is one of the fabulous Stamping Bella Uptown Girl stamps called Victoria and Juliette's Night Out  I would love to think I looked this classy and skinny on a night out but hey a girl can dream :-)  I've coloured the girlies with copics and added loads and loads of glitter on their dresses to bling them up a bit.

The papers are from the Echo Park Dots and Stripes Bundle of Joy Girl 6 x 6 pad and I've matted all the panels onto silver cardstock.

I've created the scalloped panel using the Dienamics Jumbo Scallop die and I've finished it off with some pink grosgrain saddlestich ribbon topped off with a button from the Hobby House's Fancy Button mix for some extra bling.

A couple of pearls in each corner and a bit of faux stitching here and there and there you have it...a real girly card and one which I would love to receive myself!

Thanks for stopping by, pop back tomorrow to see another gorgeous creation from our DT

Happy Everything!

Hallooo! As you know this week we are celebrating the theme of SUMMER!

What could be more summery than a beautiful English rose? I bought my very first Clearly Besotted stamp set called Happy Everything! It's a lovely flexible set that can cover lots of occasions so an essential for your stamp collection I reckon! I coloured with copics and scored the card blank using my Hougie Board. The sentiment is one of a number that come with the 2 main flower stamps. Finally I added some nailheads and Stickles.

Hope you're enjoying our fabulous weather! x

Smile at the Sky.

Good morning you beautiful people. It's my turn to hit you all up with some SUMMER inspiration for this week.

What's your take on summer? Long days spent in the garden or down the beach? Reading a book or pottering around the garden? Mine, is the sky. I love just sitting back, relaxing, wherever I am and just taking in the big blue sky. It blows my mind every time, and always reminds me of how small we really are!! The sun? Not so much a fan. I'm more of a winter person, but I do appreciate the summer, it makes my greenhouse grow. :)

So I decided to take this as an opportunity to start practicing my sky. It's not like there is a lack of tutorials out there, so I thought I'd give it a go.

I'll be the first to admit that my clouds are a little.. flat.. kinda like the giant from (Jack and the Giant Beanstalk, obviously) has been sitting on them. Hah. It's alright for a first attempt though. I will definitely be working on the shape of them. I want them looking more fluffy but still more cartoon like rather than realistic.

So as for my supplies, this is the gorgeous Summer (aptly named) from the Wild Sprouts over at The Greeting Farm, and I've coloured her up with my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match papers from Echo Park - Here and Now collection. I added a banner across the top which I've die cut from more of the patterned paper using a C.C Designs die which Kitty will order in for you no problem.

Head over to the My Mum's Craft Shop Blog and see what the other ladies have been posting for our SUMMER theme this week. Oh, and don't forget to join in with our Monthly Challenge for your chance to win a MMCS Voucher.

Out. xo

Happy Days!

Hi there everyone it's Shelly here with my card for this week's Summer theme....

Isn't all this sunshine fabulous, I hope it lasts for the next six weeks until I go on holiday !

This week I've gone a little out of my comfort zone and created a scene style card, it was a bit fiddly but I love the finished result.

Firstly I've coloured my Ice Cream Lucy stamp with Copics (grab her while you can she is on special offer at the moment).  I love the way her ice cream is nearly as big as her head lol !

To create my scene I've die cut a large circle and used quite a few of the papers from the Echo Park A Perfect Summer 6 x 6 paper pad.  One of the sheets features a huge sun-ray design so I've cut a section from that to create the big sunny background.

The sandcastle and bucket I've created myself just by cutting them out of the patterned paper and the beach ball is a just a die cut circle which I've coloured in beach ball colours
I've then die cut some clouds using the Memory Box Puffy Clouds die and I've also coloured around the edges of them with a pale grey Copic pen to add some dimension.
Finally some hot air balloons cut out from the patterned paper and a few seagulls drawn in with a black fineliner and it's done !
Do keep popping back this week to see the rest of the team's Summery creations

Stamped Summer Flowers

Hello and a happy Monday morning to all of you crafters out there!! Lydia here as your Monday girl for July. I really hope your weekend was good and that you are enjoying the fantabulous weather we are having.

This weeks theme is 'Summer' and it couldn't be more apt with the sunshine we are finally getting to see :-D !

I would like to share with you a CAS card using the 'Leafy Greens' Paper Smooches stamp set... using leaves as beautiful summer blooms....

I have used dies from Memory Box to create the sentiment , but there are lots of dies in the store with which you could get this effect by using the die straight onto the card base and 'using the negative'. I used one of the more solid patterned papers from the Glitz 'Uncharted Waters' pad to make the wording 'pop'.

Just a couple of liquid pearls dotted here and there finishes the look.

Thanks for looking... see you next week .

My Mum's Craft Shop Theme week - Summer

Hello Everyone! Jane here today, I hope you are all well and enjoying this gorgeous Summery weather we have been having lately. Our theme this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog is Summer. which is rather fitting! I must admit, when the themes were chosen I was expecting it would be raining and cold as usual! How wrong was I?

I have used some lovely Summery Echo Park papers on my card and a fun stamp by My Favourite things called 'Aloha' which is available here. I cut the beach and the sea using the Dienamics Snowdrift die and popped some green mesh under the sand bank, a paper flower, starfish charm and some stick on pearls around them. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a die and layered onto others circles  to look a bit like a sun.

Here is a close up of my image which was coloured with Graph'it pens and Promarkers. I cut her out leaving a small border before adding her to the card with foam pads. I hope you have a lovely Sunday! I will be attending the Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace today!

Congrats, Grad!

It's my turn to fill you with some inpsiration today using products from My Mum's Craft Shop today.

I had a graduate card to make, and I thought Graduation Luka from La La Land Crafts would do the job! If you're after this particular stamp just give Kitty a shout and she'll get it ordered in for you ASAP! I coloured him up using ProMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye Remarkable 6x6 pack.

I've stamped the sentiment which comes in the stamp set in blue ink onto a Die-namics Oval Tab Die. I kept the card pretty simple, as it's for a boy, and added a few embellishments in the form of some punched stars, liquid pearls and some buttons which I've sewn onto the card with twine.

That's all I got for ya today! Enjoy your Wednesday. xo

A Bit of Tilly Daydream

Hi folks and happy Tuesday, it's Shelly here with my card for this week.  It looks like it's going to be another scorcher today, lets hope it lasts all the way until the end of August until I'm on my holidays !

This week we have a free theme week so I've chosen to use the brand new Tilly Daydream Ultimate A4 Die Cut and Decoupage pack which is jam packed full of gorgeousness.  There are toppers, decoupage (obviously!), alphabets, sentiments and papers featuring this gorgeous new character.

I've chosen one of the toppers from the pack which would be great for a crafty friend.
The hexagon background is made from one of the sheets of patterned paper included in the pack.  I've cut around the hexagons, cut them to size and matted them onto dark blue cardstock before sticking them onto my card, just to give a bit more definition.
The banner has been cut from the Fishtail Flags Die-namics set and 'stitched' around the outside with white gel pen.
And that's all from me today everyone, enjoy the sunshine :-)

I Get Butterflies....

Good Morning fellow crafters! I do hope that you had a lovely weekend over here in the UK we have had some glorious weather (for a change) and have a British Wimbledon champion for the first time in 77 years... whoo-hoo.

It's Lydia here, and I will be your Monday girl for July. So excited to be guest designing over here at MMCS as I just love all the fab papers, stamps ..... and everything that Kitty has in the store. Today I'm sharing with you a CAS card using some delicious MME papers and stamps from MFT and Paper Smooches.

I firstly used one of the gorgeous floral papers from the MME 'Collectable Noteable' 6x6 and cut it slightly smaller than the front of my card to leave a narrow white border. I than added a strip of the fab teal stripe paper.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the MFT set 'You Make My Day' , after seeing this sentiment I thought it would be fun to match with some of the butterflies from the Paper Smooches 'Flap Happy' set.

I stamp these cute little bugs onto some more of the MME 'Notable' scraps that I had and then added some liquid pearls on their lil' wings.

Hope you have enjoyed my summery CAS card and might even give it a go... chow for now.

Love Lydia xxx
