How Gorjuss!

Hey you! How are you?  I hope you enjoyed your Bank Holiday and no rain for a change! Whoop!

For today's card I am using my very first Gorjuss stamp!!! I've eyed these stamps up for years but for some reason hadn't gotten round to getting any but once I saw Kitty had got a lovely selection of Gorjuss products in store, I knew I had to give in to temptation!!

Jane used this stamp on Sunday with a gorgeous dramatic colour scheme, today I'm going to show you a completely different look...

I've used Gorjuss I Gave You My Heart. I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress. I know all the Gorjuss Girls are normally drawn with dark hair but I wanted to make her cute and summery so I thought light brown would suit her better. These gorgeous bright papers are MME Cambridge Court. I've also used the Rounded Banner Stax Dienamics.

Love her pretty dress!

Have a great day! x

Clean & Simple Mealowlands

Hello to our lovely readers :) Today i have a clean and simple card to show you that i have made using one of the latest Inkylicious Stamps.
To create this card i simply created the background using some adirondack inks and the fabulous Inkylicious Ink Dusters. I then stamped the Inkylicious Meadowlands Stamp in Versafine Black Ink. I did the sentiment in the same way and mounted it all onto black cardstock and used a simple corner punch too.

We are expecting a big Inkylicious delivery anyday so look out for restocks of this stamp along with many others too - they always fly out ;)

Graph Its :)

Oopsie! I'm gonna make this quick as I should have posted this, this morning, but I completely forgot what day of the week it is! Hope you've had a fab Bank Holiday too?

You'll of course recognise this little chap, he's Heart Balloon Luka from La-La Land Crafts. The papers are My Minds Eye Kate & Co Oxford Lane, I love the bold colours in this pad, perfect for boy and male cards. I''ve coloured Luka with the new Graph It Markers Kitty has in stock. They give a lovely vibrant colour finish and they're pretty fun to use. What's more, if you fancy trying them out, they come in handy three packs, which coordinate and blend perfectly together. I've used the Skin Tone 12 Pack, Everest 3 Pack for the blues, and Hair 3 Pack. Job done!

Don't forget, there's free postage on all UK orders over £5 until 9am tomorrow morning :)

I gave you my heart

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with another card made using some of the beautiful Gorjuss products from My Mum's Craft Shop. I absolutely love this range from Docrafts and am addicted to playing with them! I have used the beautful 'I gave you my heart' image on this card and coloured her in with my Promarkers. The red paper is from my stash and the striped and grid papers are from an 8x8 pack.

I added a Paper Smooches sentiment and a small piece of ribbon and flowers from my stash and finished with some tiny pearls and a button.

Here is a close up of my image. These stamps are slightly larger than most and are so easy to colour in. I love her stripey socks so much...I want some! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Butterfly kisses...

Continuing with our "New" theme this week,  I am demoing a new MME paper pad, new MFT Pure Innocence release and a new technique for me- colouring on kraft!

This new PI cutie is from MFT's latest release and is called Make A Wish. I decided to try a new technique for me that I've seen around alot in blogland recently- colouring on kraft. As this was my first go I took inspiration from Inge's tutorial on the MFT blog. I don't have Prismacolor pencils- only watercolour and lyra pencils but I think they worked just as well. As a colouring technique, I really enjoyed it- once you've worked out what colours you are going to use and what blends well together (a bit of scrap kraft is useful!), it really is quite easy as the kraft is quite forgiving.

I also used a new MME pad called Oxford Lane and the File Tab Dienamic and Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Dienamic- I'm going to seriously love this flower die!!

Such a cutie! I used to love telling the time with Dandelion clocks!!

Thanks for stopping by today x

Simple easy makes with Dreamees

Hello and welcome to another day of inspiration from our 'Something New' week. Today i am sharing with you a couple of quick cards i have made using one of the new Dreamees CD's ready for an upcoming demostration we have booked at the new shop.
For this card i used the Bloomin Brights CD. Everything on this card is from the cd all you need is some white card to print it all onto. All the elements are from the Lavender Themed section of the CD rom. I used Lavender Papers, Image, Hexagon Borders, Bows and Sentiments.
For this card again i used Bloomin Brights CD. I used the Image, Papers, Butterfly, Sentiments & Buttons, all that coordinate perfectly in a lovely coral tone.

Simply and easy to create!

Graph It Markers...

Morning All :)

For Something New Week, I decided to play with the new Graph It Markers in store. I've used the following sets: Skin Tones 12 Pack, Hair, Nature, Fresh, Sunny and Vitamin. The first thing I will say is this. If you look at the colour swatches and are expecting something subtle, don't. With the exception of the Skin shades, the colours I used, even the palest ones, are all vibrant and zingy.

So, what did I think of them? Well, they're not too bad. It'll take a while to get used to colouring with the different nib, (more Pro Marker than Copic) working out what colours blend well together and what Copics will go with what Graph Its, but they didn't upset me. They are a little more juicy than Copics, but once you know that, you can adjust. Would I ditch Copic in favour of Graph It? No. Would I continue to use the two together? Yes.

Otherwise, I've been busting to use the new Echo Park A Perfect Summer Papers. I think they're perfect for Summer Luka from La-La Land Crafts, don't you?

Something new...

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with a tag I have made for our 'Something New' themed week which is starting today on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I cut the tag using a Dienamics die and Gorjuss Girl papers and added a fishtail cut from striped paper using another die. The beautiful house stamp is from the Art houses set from Creative Expressions and I stamped it on to kraft and added it to the tag over some jute mesh.

I used a Dienamics heart die to cut a small tag which I stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp before setting it with an eyelet and tying it on with some Docrafts string.

I then added some flowers a wooden butterfly, some key charms and buttons to finish off. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Happy Saturday Peeps.

This image is one of my all time favourite images from Wild Rose Studio, it's called Bees with Cupcake. So, it seemed like an easy choice to put it with some of my favourite My Minds Eye Papers... Collectable Unforgettable. I don't have so many of these papers left anymore! And it's lucky dies don't wear out as I am always using my Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax.

Talking of dies, did you see the new arrivals this week? They're pink, is all I'm saying! ;)

Gorjuss Decoupage!

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I have been playing with some of the new Docrafts products which have just arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have made a card using the beautiful Gorjuss mini decoupage set called 'You Brought me love' which is available here and the stunning coordinating papers from the 6x6 pack.

The decoupage is die cut and was very easy to put together and made a nice change from stamping and colouring. I layered up my papers and added some stiching and then wrapped my layers with lace and ricrac before adding them to the card base. I used a Lili of the Valley sentiment and decorated the card with lots of flowers and other bits and bobs including some gorgeous Hobby House Rhinestone buttons.

Here is a close up  of the decoupage. I added some little punched butterflies to the frame and the image as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

The dies are all Die-Namics. I've used Bicycle, By The Letter Uppercase, By The Number and you could use Fishtail Flag Stax or Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax for a similar effect.

NEW products just arrived this week

Happy Together

Hi there everyone, did you enjoy that glimmer of sunshine we had earlier on in the week...perhaps that was our summer !

I'm here to show you my card for our die themed week and I thought I would try something a little different this week and create a little scene.

I've started off with the Siblings stamp by CC Designs which I have coloured with Copics and cut out.

The bench is then die cut from brown cardstock using the Joy Crafts Floral Flourishes - Bench die.  I've accented it a little with a white gel pen just to bring it to life and then I've sat my little brother and sister on it with foam pads.

All the papers are from the My Minds Eye Collectable Memorable pad and everything has been mounted onto brown cardstock.

To create my little scene I've die cut a large circle from white card and made a sky effect background using a B000 Pale Porcelain Blue copic pen.  I've then made myself a little hill using a sheet of green patterned cardstock from my paper pad.  The clouds have been created using the Puffy Clouds die from Memory Box and I've gone around the edges with a grey copic and attached them with foam pads to give them a more floaty effect.  I've then attached my brother and sister over the top.

I couldn't resist adding some little corners and flags here and there just to finish off....sometimes I just don't know when to stop lol !

That's all from me for this week.  Enjoy your day everyone.

I dig you!

Hellooooo! So I'm continuing with our "Dies dies dies!" week with this little creation...

I've used a cutie Pure Innocence from their last release called Little Gardener. I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her cute wellies. Grass is done with lyra pencils. These stunning papers I've really fallen in love with are brand new MME Cambridge Court. Right, now for the dies.... I've used a variety of Dienamics: Say What? speech bubble, Cloud TrioWoodgrain fence and Fresh Cut Grass. Sentiment comes with the main stamp.

Wish I had some cute wellies like that!

Enjoy your day! x

Creating Yourself

It's time today for my weekly post for My Mums Craft Shop. This week we are showcasing dies and everyone loves them right now yeah!? I decided to have a play with my fav stamps and style of the moment and inject some lush Dienamics into the mix ;)
Here is my creation....
I started out by using one of the gorgeous tags from the Prima Tag Pad as my base. The papers are also by Prima and this is one of the Mixed Media Doll Stamps. Definately one of my fav releases of this year i think, just wish i got more time to play with them. I also paper pierced her dress with the same papers to make it all coordinate. I created the flower using the Dienamics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die and the Leaf Filled Flourish. I coloured her my new Graph It Markers which i just love but i only did a bit of a rough colouring job on this as i was colouring on slightly shiny card so not really perfect for alcohol pens really! The sentiment is one of the new Inkylicious Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by :)

It's Day Two of Dies Week and I wanted to share something I made using some 'older' releases from Die-Namics. (New ones on the way!) This sweet little couple is from the Boy Meets Girl Set, they are such fun. And the heart is from Heart Stax. The papers are 'vintage' too, coming from the Echo Park Yours Truly Pad. They may be old, but I still love 'em!

A Beautiful Butterfly for Dies Week

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am starting off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I have a card to share with you today which I have made using one of my favourite recent purchases from My Mum's Craft Shop...the beautiful Marianne Designs Butterfly die. I saw this at the trade show earlier this year made up using felt and it was truly stunning.

I have used mine to cut some of the beautiful new My Mind's Eye Find your Wings and Fly Away papers and made an anniversary card for my Parents. I used a Paper smooches sentiment from the Good Gab set.

I kept my layout quite simple, adding a little stitching and some paper flowers and used flower stamens for the butterfly antennae. I added some buttons from my stash to the butterfly, some gorgeous pleated ribbon and finished with some stick on pearls and gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Bolero Sweater Doll

Morning All :)

With the Prima Marketing Mixed Media Dolls back in stock, I thought I might have a little play with the FAB Tag Pad and Bolero Sweater Doll. I was expecting to make quite a quick project, but I spent ages dithering about which papers to use for her outfit! There are sooooooooo many pretty papers in the Prima Marketing Divine Paper Pad. I've used six of them in this project!

Have you been keeping an eye on the Pre-Orders Section of Store? If not, you're gonna wanna!

A Treat for You and a New Challenge

Hey there everyone it's Shelly here with my card for this week which also doubles as my card for our new challenge which kicks off on the Challenge Blog today.  The theme for this month is:-

Spots or Stripes

I've been dying to use this stamp since I got it and I know she has been very popular..... this is Cupcake Cutie by My Favourite Things and I've combined two of the images in the set to create my card.  I've coloured her with Copics and coloured some random dots around her to create a bit of a background.
I've paper pieced the tablecloth and added some glitter to the cupcakes although it hasn't shown up very well in the pic :-(
The papers are all from the Dots & Stripes Bundle of Joy Girl 6 x 6 paper pad by Echo Park and I love the soft ice cream colours which I've combined with Kraft cardstock for a nice subtle effect.
I've die cut random size circles out and dotted them around the card and added buttons to embellish.
Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to see what inspiration the rest of the DT girls have for you this month and if you would like to take part we always love to see your creations.
Have a great day
