Ava loves to celebrate....

Hello all!. did you have a wonderful Christmas? I certainly did!!
This is a funny old week between Xmas and New Year, and my mojo has taken an extended holiday!!!
The theme this week being celebrate... I wanted to share this card using paper piecing, and one of my favourite ranges of stamps Stamping Bella Uptown Girls.

This is " Ava loves to celebrate", and paper piecing here made it a double quick card. I have used my markers to finish colouring up the image, and added some Stardust glitter pen to make her twinkle!
I added a doily between my layers, and cut that fabulous bow out with my Die-namics Dainty bows
Since its new Years Eve, all that left is to wish you a very happy and healthy 2014!

Hi all,

Lyndsey here today. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and for those of you that have fun plans to celebrate the New Year, hope your party goes with a bang!.

To follow with our Celebrate theme this week my card uses the fabulous image Victoria & Juliette's Night Out from Stamping Bella - these girls our gonna be me and my bestie tomorrow night celebrating letting the New Year in. (if only I was that thin and had those gorgeous long legs sigh!!!!)

I teamed the image with some bright and funky papers from the My Girl Pad by My Minds Eye, and added a few flowers and some lovely stripy ribbon tied in a bow. To finish I topped the bow with a very blingy Large Sparkler & added a couple of Clear Gem Dots in the bottom RH corner to finish.

Thanks for joining me here on the blog today, please do pop back during the week to see so more fabulous creations from my team mates.

Celebrate with Anya!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We are getting ready for the New Year now and are celebrating this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog with a 'Celebrate' theme week.

I have made a card using the gorgeous Big Anya Celebrates stamp set on my card which comes with some lovely sentiments. I stamped Anya and coloured her in using Graph'it markers before cutting her out and paper piecing the present.

The papers I have used are by My Mind's Eye from the Lost and Found 'Record it Antique' pad. I kept my layout simple and stamped the sentiment on to the backing paper. I added some hemp ribbon and some flowers from my stash and a lovely little wooden button which is available here.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Thanks So Much!

Good Morning!
Natalie here today and to start off I just wanted to say that I hope you all had a fabby Christmas!
I managed to find sometime yesterday to make a quick card that is suitable for this time of year for two reasons.
The first - It's a Thank You card which is just what you need to say thank you for Christmas Presents.
The second is that I have used scrap bits of papers so instead of them going into the bin, they're put to use!

I have used a sentiment from one of the Paper Smooches Stamp sets. Along with scrap bits from one of my fave Paper Pads atm 'Tis the Season' by Echo Park.

I have also used 2 types of Embellishments that we have in the shop which I think are great for those finishing touches!

Remember you can click any of those photo's of the products I used to go straight to them on the website.

Paper Smooches 'Salutations' Stamp Set
Echo Park 'Tis The Season' Paper Pad
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
£1 MMCS Embellishment Packs
Collall All Purpose Glue & Ranger Glossy Accents

Archival Ink - Jet Black

A Very Merry Christmas from Us to You!

Quick post, so we can all get moving with the festivities.

I've used Die-namics Winter Wreath.. again.. can't get enough of it.
This time I've blinged it up with a few little red hearts, gold stars and some mistletoe
from Paper Smooches Freezy Fellas stamp set to jazz it up.

I've taken a sheet of the black patterned paper from Echo Park 'tis the Season and embossed it using a script folder before matting it onto some silver mirri card.

Finishing touches include some red Liquid Pearls and some gold Stickles. Perfect for Christmas.

Fairy Christmas Gift Bag!

Good Morning!
This week we have the theme of Gift Bags and Boxes! I decided to decorate a plain paper bag that I had stashed away and gave it a contemporary feel. I chose these colours and the stamp to suit a young girl as I know it can be quite tricky creating something for younger females!

The large jewelled embellishment is also from the MMCS website and is part of one of the gorgeous £1 Embellishment packs that we have. The papers I have used are by Echo Park and also on the website.

Christmas Favour Bags

**6 SLEEPS**

This week over at My Mum's Craft Shop the DT girls are showcasing a whole bunch of ways to make gift bags and boxes. This theme has come a little late for me, literally all of my friends birthdays are in November, and I have all but two of my Christmas presents already wrapped.. so I had to get my thinking cap on this week!!

Then it hit me - why not make some little favours for the table on Christmas Day?! BINGO!!

So off I went with my little Die-namics Scalloped Treat Box

I cut out 6 panels from some Kraft cardstock and used my MFT Snowflake Splendor stamp set to decorate the cardstock before assembling my boxes.

I punched a hole in either side to thread a little slice of red saddlestitch grosgrain for an extra festive touch.

As for the name tags, I used a Lawn Fawn alpha set (which we all need to sweet talk Kitty into getting..),
as well as a doily from Die-namics Mini Doily die set,
aaaaaaaaaaand a die from the Snowflake Splendor set
All layered up.

Once you get a little production line going, you could get through a bunch of these in a relatively short space of time! I recommend you to give it a go.

If you don't fancy sitting and die cutting a load of cardstock, there are ready made boxes for ya so it's even quicker and easier to get a bunch made:

You can have so much fun!! Thank you for stopping by today! xo

A quickie gift box...

Hey guys... how are you all doing? how are your preparations coming  along?
I needed to make a box or gift bag for this weeks theme, and time is tight... this box is super quick, it took me longer to photograph!!!

Its just a basic A4, scored in 2" all the way round, then I cut in 2" to create a tab, then glued the tab , voila!!! the base was trimmed 1/8" smaller on 2 sides, then repeated the process...
the tree background paper is from the fabulously glittery "Santa's workshop" , these are soooo cute!!!
the stamps used are "Freezy Fella's" from Paper smooches
I had to use these snowdudes , before the festive season was over... and I 3d'd them onto my scene.. added lots of glamour dust and a tag using a sentiment from the set.
So, I hope this has given you some inspiration to create that last minute gift wrapping...
Now ,where did I put that Sellotape???
Do pop back for more inspiration for the perfect finish to the perfect gift from the rest of the MMCS dt.
 Hugs xx

Pretty Purse Box

HI all,

Its Lyndsey here and I'm back today to show you a little inspiration here on the MMCS Blog.

Our theme this is week is bags/boxes and so for my creation I have made a cute little Purse Box.

The box is made using a 12 x 12 piece of card and scoring into shape. The flap was created using a scalloped circle nestie, stuck to the back and a little velcro on the front so that it can be opened.  I used some gorgeous papers from the First Edition range - New Bloom and the flower was cut from the paper, I used 3 different lengths of ribbon platted together for the handle and added a little metal butterfly and brad to finish.

Please do pop back during the week to check out my teamies fabulous creations.

A Christmas treats box for Bags and Boxes week

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off another themed week this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. We will be showing you bags and boxes this week, ideal as a last minute Christmas present when filled with yummy chocolates!

I used a Sizzix die to cut my box shape from Kraft and then added papers from the Echo Park Keepin' Cozy pad which I had layered onto red card before stitching around the edges. I added a layered snowflake cut using Joy Crafts dies . I added a large sparkly embellishment on top and tucked a Paper Smooches sentiment underneath.

Here is a side view of the finished box. I covered all the sides of hte box using different patterned papers and added a couple of little stick on pearls and a gem to finish. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Snow Bunny

Hey Peeps :)

Are you enjoying Christmas Week here at My Mum's Craft Shop? Not far away now is it? I'm still ignoring that right now, I'll panic in a few weeks.

So, while I am still blissfully ignoring the fact that Christmas is less than twenty days away, let's talk about this cute stamp, Freezin Season from The Cats Pajamas. I am sooooo gonna make a Snow Bunny when it snows this winter, I just love bunnies. I also have a soft spot for the Countdown to Christmas papers from Bazzill Basics. And have you seen all the fabulous embellies Kitty has in stock right now? These Wooden Hearts are just a taster. Gorgeous, right?

Well, I can't sit around here chatting all day. I'm sure there's something I should be doing...

A Dienamics Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with a card I made using some of the latest Dienamics dies which arrived recently at My Mum's Craft shop. I made a card for my Husband's birthday which was at the end of last month. I used My Mind's Eye papers and created a simple layout adding a centre panel cut with the Pierced oval die.

I cut the sentiment using the new Dienamics 'Happy Birthday' die and added it to the card using glue.
I added a Craftwork cards label to the top left.

I added a few brads from my stash and a wooden heart and stick on pearls. I also added a lovely little heart button which is available here. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Perfect Christmas

Okay, I am prepared to admit Christmas is coming. Soon. But I will not concede the amount of days, although I will admit there are less days than cards needed. With this in mind, I made a quick little card with some of those little wooden sticks you get for stirring drinks. Oh yes, and I may have used Bazzill Basics Countdown to Christmas and Perfect Christmas from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Just sayin'...

Winter Wryn

It's Lou Mac.

Today, I thought I'd share this gorgeous little Wryn who's kinda dressed up like a little girly Santa!!

Wryn is from the Winter Friends set by Tiddly Inks. I coloured her up in red and black with my ProMarkers.

The papers are from the new Echo Park - 'tis the Season pack. So pretty. I love the contrast of the distressed blacks against the traditional reds and greens. Very unusual. If you haven't got your hands on this pack I highly recommend you do so, even if you have to wait for next years cards before you can use it! ;)

So.. what else.. I added some green paper flowers, some die cut vellum snowflakes - I used my Die-Namics Let it Snowflake dies.. a little striped red button from Kitty's new line aaaaaaaand.. some red Hobby House rhinestones here and there.

A cute little Christmas card with the traditional reds and greens, but a little bit of black thrown in to mix things up a little!! Thank you for stopping by today!! xo

I made an easel card, with a Post-it note caddy! I saw this out in blogland and had to give it a try!!
You can find how I made it on my blog here...
The papers are Carta Bella "So this is Christmas", the image is "Holly" from Wee Stamps, coloured with my Spectrums.
I used the Joy! Crystals snowflake dies, and the Die-namics Poinsettia die, and lots of Frantage!!, and stickles and pearls & gems!
I also added some jute twine and a button.
Now, this little cutie is winging it's way to my swap partner, so I hope she doesn't see it yet..lol!

Krafty Stars

Hi all

Its Lyndsey here and today its my turn again to show you some inspiration here on the blog, this week our DT theme is Christmas. Today I have decided to do something a little different and created a Star Wreath ( I found the original idea for this on Pinterest) and loved it so thought why not have a go myself.

I took a 12" cardboard wreath shape and covered it in stars cut from Kraft card, then I Die Cut 8 Stars the same size out from the gorgeous paper pad Nordic Pines from Bazzil Basics. Each star is then scored from each tip and folded into shape. To finish off I added some fabby vintage buttons and a lovely Red Gingham Bow.

As you can see my creation is now hanging off my Fire Place along with all my other Christmas Decs.

Thanks for popping by today, please pop back during the week to see some fabulous inspiration from my team mates.
