New Goings On....

Inky Tag

Morning All :)  Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am.

It's all about Tags here this week. I was putting something away in a cupboard in the craft room the other day and my tub of Inyklicious Sprinkys caught my eye. Of course I couldn't ignore them, so here's what I made. Now I've used quite a lot of stash here, so I'm just gonna go ahead and list it all...

Inkylicious Ink Dusters (luuuuuuuuuuuuurve these!)

Phew and there you have it!

Have a great weekend...

My Mum's Craft Shop Theme Week - Tags

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off another themed week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. Our theme this week is 'Tags' so I have a selection of tags to show you which I have embellished with Little Claire Peel Offs.

I used the shed from the Lazy Days sheet on my first tag which I had cut out using a Dienamics tag die. The papers I used are from the Gnome Sweet Gnome My Mind's Eye pad. I stuck the peel off onto white card and then coloured it in with Promarkers. I added some ribbon and a charm and finished with some flowers and gems.

I used some left over scraps of papers to decorate some luggage tags and added some peel off images from the 'Oh Man' sheet. These were all coloured with Promarkers and die cut into circles before I added the to the tags. The sentiments are also all on the sheets. Make sure you pop back tomorrow for another Tag themed project! Have a lovely Sunday!

Paper Smooches are in the building!

Oh it's a miserable, damp afternoon out there... The kind of afternoon that has me running for the craft room, biscuit in one hand (long gone now) and mug of tea in the other.

I'm really excited as Kitty has started stocking Paper Smooches in Store. Yippee! Mine arrived yesterday and I've been itching to get at them (yep, that's plural). I'm not telling you which set I've used, you can go check them out instead! So it's just as well it's a bit of damp squib today really.

You know what else I like to do when it's yuck outside? Shopping. Online specifically. I can do it without venturing out. And... Not that I'm trying to encourage you in any way. (Ahem!) There's currently free shipping in The UK, (halved for Worldwide.) on any order (minimum spend £5) placed in the Online Store before midnight on 25 November. No codes. No messing. Just shopping. Happy Days.

Morning All :)

I have a bit of a double for you today as I've been playing with the Wee Toppers again. They're great, I can make two cards with these in the time it makes me to make one which I've coloured. I've said it before and I'll say it again... perfect for when you're in a tight squeeze. Show me someone who's not up against it at this time of year!

So, the Toppers are The Hobby House Wee Stamp Toppers Let it Snow and the cute papers are from My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland. I think the colours on both work really well together.

I've just added some Rhinestones, Fancy Buttons and Dew Drops from Store and Ribbon and Seam Binding from my stash. Job done!

Hobby House toppers!

Hello my little Happy Crafters! It's my time to be showing you a little love for My Mum's Craft Shop and showcasing some more of the fantastic Christmas toppers Kitty has in stock. The first two cards are made using 2 of the Hobby House Mo Manning Christmas time toppers...

The amazing thing about these toppers are the size! They maaaassive!! I cut around this little guy and mounted him on Kaisercraft Turtle Dove paper. The sentiment is created using my beloved High Rise Alphabet Die-namics- gotta be one of my fav buys of 2012! Stars are nesties finished with button and Bakers twine.

Mo Manning topper number 2 again cut out and mounted on Kaisercraft Turtle Dove paper. The lush bow is created with the Dienamics Beautiful Bow in red felt. OMG- you have to get this die!!!

Finally I've got a Hobby House Kenny K topper from the Festive Cheer sheet to show you. Papers are by Echo Park- these are actually one of last year's pads but Kitty has all the brand new ones here. Sentiment is a Cats Pajamas one from the Define Good stamp set cut out with the File tab Dienamics. Snowflake is Sizzix die.

These toppers are just so fab for quick and easy Christmas cards- big on impact and speedy to make, they get a big thumbs up from me!

Playing with Peel Offs

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today and  I have something a little bit different for you today for my weekly post. I have 2 cards which I have made without any stamps at all! I have been playing with some of the lovely Little Claire's Peel Offs which have just arrived at My Mum' Craft Shop.

I used some of the garden tools images from the Lazy Days peel off sheet for my first card. The spotty paper is by Echo Park and I layered the peel off onto white card before colouring it in with my Promarkers. The sentiment is also from the peel off sheet and I added a little bow tied from gingham ribbon.

I used peel offs from the 'Oh Man' sheet for my second card. The paper I used are from the My Mind's Eye 'Gnome Sweet Gnome' pad and I added my sentiment onto a tag cut with the die from the 'Notched die and tag set'. I really enjoyed playing with the peel offs and they were great for making quick cards and so easy to colour in as it was very easy to keep within the lines! I will be back with my Ribbon Girl DT post a bit later on this morning.

Odd Christmas

Morning All :)

As Kitty has just taken a delivery of Some Odd Girl Stamps, I thought it only fair to play with Angel Gwen. Well. it would be rude not to, right? ;) The sentiment and the banner are all included in the same set, so you get planty to have fun with.

I wanted to put Gwen with traditional Christmas colours, so I've used papers from the Glitz Design Joyeux Noel stack. And let's not forget my trusty Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax. Where would I be without those? And don't worry if you missed out on the latest Die-Namics. More are on their way as I type! ;)

The little pearls on the banner are The Hobby House Heart Pearls. I've not had them long, but I have used them A LOT already.

That's all from me today, but be sure to stop by for more inspiration over the weekend...

Christmas Time!!

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and we are starting another themed week at My Mum's Craft Shop. We are turning our attention to Christmas this week as it is fast approaching and our theme is 'Christmas Time'. Kitty has been ordering lots of gorgeous Christmas goodies and they have started to arrive, they are lots of gorgeous papers, stamps and dies, one of my favourite pads is the Carta Bella 'Merry and Bright' pad which is available here. I love the bright colours and the fabulous fun patterns, they are a nice change from the traditional Christmas colours.

I used one of the pink papers in the pad to layer my papers onto and to cut a frame for my Cat's Pajamas 'Define Good' image. I coloured my image with Promarkers and then added some sewing around the edges and some glitter to his hat. The sentiment was cut with a Dienamics sentiment strip.
I added lots of gorgeous snowflakes cut with the Cheery Lyn snowflakes die and finished with some little stick on gems. Make sure you pop back tomorrow for more Christmas Inspiration!
Have a lovely Sunday!

It's only words...

Hello :)

Today, I'm sharing a card with no coloured image. Just some pretty papers and few dies. Simples! The papers are Cashmere Dame from Glitz Design. I chose one with a corner detail to balance out the dies in the other corner.

The dies, of course, are a mix of Die-Namics (new releases due early next week. Oops, did I say that out loud?!) By The Letters Uppercase and By The Numbers. I added a couple of Dew Drops and some stitching. I think the stitching took the longest!

Right have a great weekend and be sure to stop by and see what loveliness Jane has to show you...

Wee confession...!

Morning :)

I'm not generally a fan of pre-coloured Toppers and I use them begrudgingly, and when I'm in a bit of a corner. But, I have a wee confession, Peeps... The Hobby House Wee Stamps Toppers - Winter Fairy are more than a little gorgeous! Even on their own, without a touch of glitter, they're cute.

I've teamed this one up with some pretty First Edition Stocking Fillers papers, some lace, twine and gems and it's job done. Where did I put that list of Christmas jobs...?

Wee Stamps toppers!

Hi folks! Hope you're all doing well! Steph here and today I am showcasing some Wee Stamps toppers available at My Mum's Craft Shop. If you're running out of time to make all your Christmas cards (or running out of mojo!) these pre-coloured toppers are just the thing. What I was really surprised about was the quality of the card they were printed on- me, being me, had to personalise them a bit so I added some copic shadows and plenty of glitter and there was no bleeding! Top result!

Anyway this first topper is from the Holly Time set. These gorgeous wintery papers by Kaisercraft called Turtle Dove are so different, I just love the muted colours. I have also used the snowflake border from Memory Box and Fishtail Flag Stax Die-namics. The sentiment is an MFT one.

This second card has been made using a Wee Stamps Topper from the set called Winter Fairy. Again, as before I personalised the topper with a copic outline and some Crystal Stickles. The papers this time are Glitz Design Joyeux Noel- hopefully this sketch will show you some of the variety of papers included in the pad.

A little close up! Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out Kitty's new stock for November here! x

Birthday Bunny

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with some Sunday Inspiration using some of the lovely goodies from My Mum's Craft Shop. I have used the fabulous Cat's Pajamas 'Birthday Bunny' stamp which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I coloured the presents in lovely bright and juicy colours to match in with these gorgeous For the Record Echo Park papers. I added a gorgeous orange ribbon and some lovely flowers and a sentiment by Paper Smooches. The image was cut out leaving a small border and I added it to my card with foam pads and added a little glitter to some of the presents. I finished with a little stick on pearl.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Happy Cupcake Day

Morning all :)

Have you been enjoying all the Sweet Treats here at the Shop Blog this week? It's been heaven for someone with a stash and sweet stuff problem!

Friday morning means it's nearly the weekend, what better way to celebrate than with a little Cupcake? And with the imminent arrival of new Some Odd Girl deliciousness at The Shop, it's only fair that I played with Baker Mae to help remind you of just how fab Kristy's images are.

Of course, my other love is Die-Namics, and I've used the Squiggle Border with some scraps of card to complete this clean and simple little number.

Have a great weekend.
