Let's Eat Cake

Morning all, Heather here. I'm carrying on the Sweet Treats theme today with this cutie from MFT - A la Modes - Time to Celebrate.  Adore her! Oh and for a change I've not used my copics (I know, shock horror!)

I used my circle nesties and just stamped a partial image! Oh and I managed to shorten the  sentiments strip from the Die-namics Sweet Stack Labels.

Many Thanks for having me during October :)

Dip Me In Chocolate

Hello everyone, Kitty here with my usual spot for Tuesdays! So are you loving all the Sweet Treats ideas so far? I know i am... the design team have done a fab job so far and just you wait until you see the rest too...they never disappoint do they!! So you can incorporate this however you like - creating a treat bag, box, using images with sweets or treats on, loads of scope on this one eh girlies! I decided to create a choccy card using one of my fav charactors by MFT - A La Modes!
This is Dip Me In Chocolate (oo er!) and i coloured her with copics. She looks more tanned than in actual life but these dark winter days mean photographing is a bit harder. She's just been given the Towie look that's all :) The papers i used are Echo Park For The Record 2 Documented. I created the bow using my lush new Dienamics Beautiful Bows Die (more on the way soon) and i also used my Fishtail STAX. Obviously a bit of Kraft was in order to be used and some pearly whirlies of course!

Make sure you pop back each day this week for more
Sweet Treats from the rest of the Design Team!

Hot Cocoa Cutie

Hi everyone! Steph here and I hope you're all baring up with this cold weather we've been having in the UK. Today is Day 2 of our second themed week "SWEET TREATS" with the promise of another fab prize for you!

One of my fav sweet treats is hot choccie- especially in this weather! Yum! So I decided to use MFT A La Mode Hot Cocoa Cutie. I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her leggings and mug. The papers I've used are Glitz Design Yours Truly- I love the papers in this pad! I used the Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax and the Photo Corners. The sentiment comes with the set cut out with a Memory box label. I finished with some stitching.

Come back tomorrow for more "Sweet Treat" fun! x

Sweet treats theme week - Claudia has a candy

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am starting off another Inspiration week today on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. We will all be showing you Projects with a 'Sweet treats' theme. I have used the very pretty 'Claudia has a Candy' Stamping Bella stamp on my card. I coloured her in with my Promarkers and used papers from the very aptly named My Mind's Eye The sweetest thing - Lavender pad.

I used lots of flowers on my card and a couple of very pretty wooden buttons and used the sentiment that came with Claudia. The gorgeous bow was cut using the new Dienamics Beautiful bows die

Here is a close up of the very lovely Claudia, I cut her out leaving a small border and then added her to my card with foam pads. I hope you have enjoyed my little Sweet treat today, make sure you join us next week for some more Sweet inspiration from the Design Team Have a lovely Sunday!

Sweet November Garden Girl Gertie

Morning All :)

I'm here today to share a little something I made earlier this week. The light was atrocious, so I apologise for my photo's. But, you'll get the gist at least.

So, I've been meaning to have a play with CC Designs Sweet November Garden Girl Gertie for a while. I think she's fab! I wanted to put her with something soft and pretty and the Hello Friend Papers from Glitz Design were perfect for the job. I also wanted to give Gertie some space to be Gertie, so the layout is quite simple. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. What can I say? Watch this space. And of course, a Friday wouldn't be a Friday without some Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax!

Have a great weekend...

Pretty Post-it Notes :)

Today I have another little project to share with you. I have taken step by step pictures as I went along, so I will get a tutorial made up over the weekend to share with you all so you can have a go at making one yourself. It was super easy. I have seen post-it note holders before, but thought I would put my own little twist on it. I created an easel card style top to it to show off my image better when sitting on a desk, and I added a little calendar to make it useful - well even more useful than a normal post-it note holder!

The papers are Kaisercraft Tigerlily - the same papers that I used on my Halloween projects last week - see how versitile this paper pad is!!! The image is Neveah by Saturated Canary and I have of course coloured her in with my copics. I kept the decoration pretty simple finishing it with a single cherry blossom and duo of pasel pink roses.

I will update the post to add my tutorial at the weekend x x

I made this card using the Define Good Stamp Set. I coloured him with Copics and mounted him onto my beloved Circle & Scallop Nestabilities Dies. The papers are my fav pad this season - My Minds Eye - Winter Wonderland. I also used my Dienamics Monarch Border for the border.
For more info on how to create this, you will have to get yourself a copy of Making Cards :)

Playing with the new Cat's Pajamas stamps...

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with a couple of cards I have made using some of the new Cat's Pajamas stamps which recently arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. For my first card, I have used the 'Oh Chute' set and Kaisercraft papers from the 'Check In' pad. I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday and added a couple of little blue gems from my stash which match the papers perfectly. I coloured the image with Promarkers. I love these stamps as they are so quick to colour in.

My second card was made using stamps from the 'Wheel love' set and My Mind's Eye papers from the 'Gnome Sweet Gnome' pad. I coloured my image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and added a little die cut heart from the Dienamics notched tags set.

I added a bow tied from denim ribbon and some flowers and a button from my stash. Make sure you check out all the stamps from the Cat's Pajamas range, there are so many great images in the range and the sentiments which come with them are fabulous! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Trip-le Treat :)

Trick or Treat - Tri-ple Treat - see what i did there ;) haha!! Today I am completely spoiling you - not one but 3 goodies for you! As you know it Halloween theme week here at My Mums Craft Shop.  Apologies now - I am pretty sure this will be a lengthy post, I just couldn't decide which of the adorable CC Designs Meoples to use so I used all 4 of them!!
I have made some sweet little miniture cards to share today. This first one uses 2 of the cute images, coloured of course with my copics! I have used some glossy accents on the little monsters eyes so they are super shiny, and I have added some stickles to the stripe in her hair, just small details but they really add to each individual image. The papers are from Kaisercraft Tigerlily and I finished it off with some gems, a small doily and some ribbon.
This next card features the cute little pumpkin witch image. I think this is my favourite image, I had soo much fun colouring the pumpkin in. I think you can just about see the glossy accents that I added to the pumpkins eyes - it really makes them POP. I added some bakers twine behind the image, and some gems in the corner. The little fency/gate at the bottom was created using my Tim Holtz Lace die. I cut the lace slightly larger than the card and stuck just the very edges down, allowing the lace to bend slightly around the image. Im really pleasef with the way it adds dimension to the card.
Finally, I have an ATC to share with you. If you head on over to our facebook page we are in the process of arranging a little atc swap. These are such fun to make - for those of you unsure of what an ATC is, it stands for Artist Trading Card. There aren't many rules to making them - infact the only one I can think of is that they have to be 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in size. Other than that you can do whatever you want! I made mine to match the cards - if you can make a card you can make one of these - they don't always have to be really experimental and arty! To add some interest I have used lots of different techniques, I did some tearing, used border punches, added texture with the doily, tied some twine into her bunches - well a girlie has to accessorise now!! Then I added some gems, a flower and a pearl :)

Phew ... well that was a rather long post - If you are still with me - congratulations and I will see you next week!

Good morning all, it's Heather here.
This week we've got a theme going and to continue this week's theme I've gone for a purple, orange and black colour scheme.

Don't forget there is a giveaway this week, all you have to do is comment on the DT's creations, how easy is that?

I got to use my fav's for this card, die-namics (by the letters) and copics but I also used Paper Smooches Metrolpolis to create the background (There might be some Paper Smooches stamps heading in to MMCS - keep an eye out!!).  I also used glossy accents to make his eyes shiny!

The image I used is a discontinued Polly craft monster.
Here are some of the products I've used:
