Pretty Birdie!

Morning All :)

I made this card recently when I was in birdie mode! It was a last ditch effort to ignore Halloween and Christmas, which are both fast approaching. Kitty is not helping of course, by stocking some of the latest stash for both Halloween and Christmas and I know there's more to come. Check out the Store for yourself!

So, what did I use? Good question! The birds are Die-Namics Homespun Birdhouse. The Scallop is one of my favourites; Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and the papers are My Minds Eye On the Sunny Side.

Die-Namics are due for their September release and sneaky peeks start next week, which means they'll be in stock soon after. If there's a current die you want that is out of stock, now's the time to mention it, so Kitty can pop it on her next order.

Don't forget the bricks and mortar store is closed tomorrow, so, no naughty stash outings for you if you live close by! ;) All orders placed online will be processed as soon as possible when the shop opens again on Tuesday.

Jane will be here on Sunday with something delish to whet your appetite.

Have a great weekend.

Treat box & Beach House Card

Hiya Shary here and today is my last post as a GDT :0(.  I've really enjoyed designing for the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and will be sad to go. But enough blabbering and onto today's project. I've shown you only cards for this month so  I made something different for today. It's a little treat box, so simple to make but lovely to give to someone if they are feeling a little down as a  gift. Maybe special chocolates inside?

This is the front view
And here is the side view

I made the box with Coordination card stock. I've used the gorgeous Bo Bunny Serenity papers for the front. The image and sentiment are from a set by Stamping Bella called Lolly and her brolly. She's been coloured with Copics and the raindrops have a little bit of lace stickle on them. I cut the sentiment up and edged it with turquoise brillance ink. The flourishes Cheery Lynn's mini fanciful flourish  have been cut out of a sheet of paper from the same Bo Bunny pad Then just some Bo Bunny Serenity gems to finish the box off.

I also made this card using the new Bazzill Basics - Beach House papers.

I used them for the background papers and for the little tag embellies. They have been cut from the papers and stitched around and inked. They really are gorgeous papers. The image is from CC Designs and is called Beachy Beatrice. She has been coloured with Copics.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing all my projects, don't forget to come back tomorrow as Faye has a gorgeous project to show you all.

Christmas with Craftwork Cards

Hello, Zoe here and I am sooo excited to be back sharing cards with you on the My Mums Craft Shop blog! After a little break away from crafting I am really pleased that I managed to return to cardmaking - I do love it! I was that excited to be joining you all again that I have two cards to share with you today, both made using lots of yummy co-ordinating Craftwork Cards goodies - yummy and currently in the SALE at MMCS Craftwork Cards goodies ;) I know it's still a way to go before its Christmas, but with soo many cards to make I feel that I should make a bit of a start.
Simple cards, but effective I think, the first is a mini card made primarily with die cuts and a little bit of colouring to the images with my copics.
The second card I have to share with you today is an easel card. I haven't made one of these for a long time so it was nice to do something a little bit different. A change is always welcome every now and then :)
I love how all the craftwork cards goodies match, the paperselementssentimentsborders, it makes it soo much easier to put quick cards together. The image panels even fit exactly into the die cut frames ... Magic! Even better still, Kitty currently has all of them on special offer at the moment - how can you resist those papers .... look at the pretty foiling!!
Don't hesitate to pop over to the online shop, there is currently an extra 15% off to celebrate the bank holiday too, you gotta be quick though, the discount finishes at midnight ... see you there! xx

I just had to get the Sweet November Pumpkin fun set

*NEW* CC Designs - Sweet November Pumpkin Fun

I have used the gorgeous cat and the House of the Hill die.

*NEW* CC Designs Cutters - House On The Hill Die

And here is my tag!

Finished off with some stickles, gems and ribbon.

See you next week!

Snow is falling!

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with a Christmas card made using some of the new Christmassy goodies which have arrived recently at My Mum's Craft shop. I have made a card using Glitz Design 'Joyeux Noel' papers which are available here. I layered them onto kraft before sewing around the edges and adding them to a scalloped card base.

The image I have used is by Wild Rose Studio and is called 'Bella with gifts'. I coloured the image with Promarkers and then die cut it with a Spellbinders die before adding to a scalloped circle. I added lots of gorgeous die cut snowflakes which I cut using a Cheery Lynn die and finished with some beautiful flowers and lots of tiny gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Santa's Coming!

Well soon enough! Kitty has started to get in some gorgeous Christmas products into the shop. One of my fav paper pads that I've seen so far has got to be the new Bazzill Basics "Believe" pad. Traditional colours but gorgeous patterns. So I had to use it to make my card.

I've done my usual and machine stitched and distress inked around the edges. The two little song sheets are part of a sheet of paper so I just cut them out.  I've not bought any new Christmas stamps yet this year but I wanted my image to be something new so I looked around the shop and thought hmmm I could use this one it's very versatile. So I've used the new CC Designs - School Hansel. He can be used for anything not just for school cards. I coloured him with my trusty Copics. I then sat him on a bench image. The papers have such great patterns that I didn't go overboard with the embellies so I just added some tiny gems and ribbon.

Jane's turn tomorrow so don't forget to come take a look at her project.

Have a lovely weekend.

Blue and Green

Morning all :)

You may have noticed I've been trying out some Inky stuff recently. Mainly because that minx, Kitty has started stocking a whole load of Inky, Stampy, Stencily Spray type Stuff. Naturally, these things need to be tested.

I'm happy to report, getting messy is a lot of fun, and you can lose yourself dipping, spraying, splatting, drying, layering, sanding, stamping, stencilling... and you end up with something you will never be able to recreate exactly!

Have a great weekend :)

Stuff Wot I Used
Inks: Inkylicious Sprinkys; Aegean Sea and Bamboo

Cutie Pumpkin Doodle

It's almost September so i thought i had better get a move on and start creating some halloween bits. We don't seem to celebrate it as much in the UK but this year i plan to do lots of treats bags etc just incase we get any trick or treaters!
I am loving all the halloween bits that have been coming in the shop lately.
This is a CC Designs Stamp called Pumpkin Beatrice, isn't she cute!! I coloured her with my Copics and the papers are Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor. The sentiment is CC Designs Halloween Sentiments - has loads of gorgeous sentiments on love this set! The landscape buildings is Dienamics Skyline Die, then i added a dash of ribbon & some black pearls.
Come back tomorrow to see Faye's lovely creation this week :)

Starry Night

Sorry i am a bit late with todays post, but better late than never eh!?
Today i have a Christmas Card to show you, may be odd with the current climate but in a way it sort of has nice summer colours...well sort of!
This is one of gorgeous new Xmas Bella Stamps by Wild Rose Studio. This one is called Starry Night and is one of the most popular ones - it's soooo cute! I teamed this up with some lovely new First Edition Papers called Stocking Fillers - this should be back in stock next week.
The flourish is by Cheery Lynn called Tropical Flourish and i added some Rhinestones to the edges.
I also added a bit of ribbon, a charm, mini message and some card candi to finish which i covered in glitter - although you can't really tell this card is very sparkly!

Thinking of you

Morning , Shary here and today I have a cute little CC Designs image to show you. She's called Lolli Beatrice.

Some of my Copics are starting to run out so I did a little experiment and mixed my colouring using both Copics and Promarkers and it worked. Just in case you were wondering! I stamped her out onto a Spellbinders die.
The papers are Prima - Doodle Deux (my fav for now) and I've stitched around them with turquoise thread to match the papers. I cut out the three circles from the same paper pad as it gives you pages with little tags and embellies. I applied some glossy accents to them. The flowers are from the same papers and I've again used a Spellbinders die. Kitty has lots of flower dies to choose from in the shop.
I didn't have the right colour gem so I used a promarker to colour a clear gem to orange to put in the middles. I've also done the same to the border gems.
The flourish is a Cheery Lynn die and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. They have been cut with the same papers.
And lastly the sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

Have a good week!!

Happy Haunting

As you all know by now I am a little obsessed with Halloween..... ok more than a little!
I have been dying for the stunning 'Happy Haunting' papers from Graphic 45 since I first saw them.

To say I love this pad is an understatement!

Kitty was kind enough to order this in specially for me.
If you contact the shop, Kitty has some amazing deals on at the moment and will be able to do the same for you.

I have big plans for these papers and you will have to keep coming back to see what emerges from them!  I have a feeling I shall be getting many more of these pads along with all the other bits and pieces that go with them!

I have spent most of the day doing a massive 'Fuzzy Cut' around some of the gorgeous little children. Here are a card and a tag I have made with some of these pieces.

Dont forget to contact Kitty either through here or through the FB group to find out what deals she has going on these.

Let's Celebrate!

Hello Everyone! Jane here today, a little later than usual! We have just come back from 2 weeks holiday in Dorset and Somerset and I am trying to get us organised! We had a fabulous time and I even managed to pop in to My Mum's Craft Shop to do a little bit of crafting with Kitty. We have gorgeous weather here today and a have a very summery card to match. I have made a card using the beautiful American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan papers which I layered onto kraft card.

The image I have used is by CC Designs and is called 'Sweet November Patty' and is available to buy here. I coloured the image with Promarkers and then die cut into a circle. I added a little banner cut with a Memory Box 'Simple Banner' die. I added a couple of little bows and some jute ribbon. I finished with a My Favourite things sentiment and some little flowers. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

You warm my heart

Hiya happy weekend Shary here and today I'm showing you a card featuring the gorgeous CC Designs - Sweet November Garden Girl Gertie.

Gertie has been coloured with Copics and I've used a little TH Barn Door distress ink around the edges of the card. The papers are from Carte Bella - Beautiful Moments. I've inked them and also stitched around them. The fence is a Doo Hickey - Lovely Fence die  I've given it a bit of colour with the TH barn door ink. My favourite die at the moment is this Mini Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn and I've used it on this card to drape over the main image and tag. The tag is from the same paper pad. I used the words from the Creative Expressions - Art Sayings set. Some lovely little roses complete the card.

Have a great weekend!!

A bird on the flourish...

Morning All :)

Now, if you've been paying attention, you'll know, you've seen this layout from me before! But, I thought it lent itself well to a bit of flourish action.

I've used a very, very, old flourish stamp. We're talking at least 2009 here! But you could get your mitts on something equally flourishy in Store... try Artemio Delicate Flourishes, for example.

The papers are delish and from Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny. I love this pad, it always cheers me up. And the little bird? Well, this cutie is from the Die-Namics Homespun Birdhouse Stamp and Die Set.

Sorted! I think I'll take the rest of the day off...

I used lots of Dienamics on this card - Dizzy Doily, Star STAX, Stacking Stars, Simply Scallop Medium & Sentiment Strips - phew what a list!

We are due another delivery of Dienamics anyday so if we haven't got what you are after shoot us over an email and we can reserve them for you when we have them back in stock :)

Welcome to my world!

Hiya Shary here today. Yay my kids went back to school today so more crafting time for me.
I'm showing you a card I made over the weekend.

First I took a piece of square watercolour paper slightly smaller than my card blank and spritzed it with water. Then I sprayed over some of the gorgeous Dylusions Ink Sprays in Bubblegum Pink and Vibrant Turquoise. When mixed they make the purple colour. On a previous card I used the Cheery Lynn mini fanciful flourish die but I didn't want to throw away the waste so on this card I used it as a stencil with cream acrylic paint. To add a bit more texture I used the Tando Creative Sequin Waste mask with a little black ink. The border was made with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and paper from the Prima Doodle Deux pad.  I inked the edges with TH milled lavendar distress ink. I then used a piece of ribbon to put across the middle and made a bow. As you can see I even kept the butterflies from the punch outs to use on my card. I added little pink gems to their centres. The flowers and girl are from the Creative Expressions - Artful Ladies collection. The flowers were stamped in versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder, cut out and a gem added. The lady is coloured in Copics and her wings are covered in shimmer mist. To finish off I added the sentiment which is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

I can't wait for Halloween!!!

So is anybody else as excited about Halloween as much as I am??
Its my absolute favourite time of the year.....even if I am usually in hospital for it!

This year I have decided to start extra early on my plans, cards and decorations.  I have started off nice and slowly and things will begin to pick up when the kids are back at school.

But for now I am only VERY slightly obsessed with the new dies that are beginning to appear from across the pond.
My favourites at the moment are the new Memory Box dies.

I have been driving poor Kitty insane with my constant..."are they here yet?" whines!!

First up we have the Ghost Trio

How cute are these!!!  This is just a very easy simple card...... I am looking forward to playing more with these and doing something 'Haunted House' like.  I am sure there are some wonderful stamps and digi stamps to come that these will be perfect with.

And here we have the Dancing Skeleton

and yes, this was as tricky as it looks!!!  I still look at it wondering if all the bones are the right way round or upside down!!  This was infact my 2nd attempt after he had thigh bones for arms!!
Definatly worth it though, I think.

Keep your eye out for more of my stuff using these dies...... I still have spiders, bats, webs and a graveyard landscape to use yet!!

Inkylicious fun!

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today and I have something a little bit different for you this week! I have been getting messy with my inks and have made a card using some of the gorgeous Inklicious stamps from My Mum's Craft Shop. This stamp is called 'Julianna' and is currently out of stock, she has been very popular! I made a background using alcohol inks and added the image on top of my background using Archival ink. I cut the image out and then added it to black cardstock leaving a small border.

I stamped a sentiment from the 'Journey' set onto some Kaisercraft papers which I also layered onto black card before stitiching around the edges. I covered my card with more Kaisercraft papers wrapped in ribbon and added my layers. I die cut a butterfly from the background paper I made using inks with a Cheery Lyn butterfly die and punched a couple of small ones using a Martha Stewart punch. I finished with some gems and some flowers.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Dancing in the rain

Weekend is here, hope the weather is nice for you all.
Today its my turn, Shary to show you a card I made using lots of products from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I've used a fab Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamp called Lolly and her brolly. Love the sentiment that comes with this stamp set. I've coloured her with Copics and cut around her. I cut the sentiment up into 3 pieces and inked the edges with a Tim Holtz barn door distress ink.
The papers are all from a gorgeous new pad from Prima called Doodle Deux. The papers are really quirky and in great colours  The vines are a die from Memory Box and this one is called Floral Vine. I cut it out with some of the same Prima papers. The flourish is another die by Cheery Lynn Designs and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. Again I've cut it out of the same papers. The flowers are from a Spellbinder die and I've just curled the edges of two of the sizes to make a layered flower and then added a gem to the centre. All the background papers have been stitched with a zigzag stitch. Finally some little gems finished the card off.

Have a great weekend!!

Double Whammy Friday!

Morning :)

I've got a bit of a double whammy for you today and the ingredient list alone is like a chapter from War and Peace, so better get this show on the road...

I'm really enjoying the inky, splatty stuff at the moment. Just as well Kitty has plenty of goodies in store to accommodate!

I used an old brush to paint Inkylicious Sprinkys in Aegean Sea and Bamboo onto a piece of watercolour paper. It's then splatted with extra drops of both inks, and water. Next up, a little stamping with Inkylicious Swiss Dot and Inkylicious Tiny Script. Phew! That's the background sorted, are you keeping up?!

The sentiment is from Die-Namics Vertical Greetings Stamp and Die Set, and cut out with the die from the same! The Die-Namics Rolled Flower and Die-Namics Royal Leaves were cut from inky background scraps. Add a Rhinestone Flourish and Bob's your Uncle...

What's next?

Sweetheart Marci! I have a soft spot for La La Land Crafts Stamps. I also have a soft spot for Memory Box Dies, and to tie in with Marci's bunting, I've used the Heart Chain Border, as a border and to make some bunting. Cayoot! The papers are American Crafts Dear Lizzie Neapolitan. Pretty scrummy, huh?!

And that's about it. Of course I could tell you I've used Copics, but that's a whole other story...

Have a great weekend.

A card for a Special Son

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day. Jane here today! I have changed my posting day for My Mum's Craft shop to a Sunday from this week so I will be popping in every Sunday on the My Mum's Craft shop blog from now on to show you which My Mum's Craft Shop products I have been playing with during the week. My Son celebrated his 13th Birthday a few days ago so I am sharing one of the cards I made him to celebrate. I didn't do any stamping or colouring on this card as the image is a precut and coloured Hobby House topper.

The papers I have used are from the Echo Park 'So Happy Together' pad. I love this pad as it has so many verstatile papers in it. I layered my papers into kraft card and then stitched around the edges. I also inked around the edge of the image panel. The sentiment was created on my laptop and the cute little banner is available here and is from Memory box. I added a couple of little black pearls and a spotty button as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Thinking of You

Shary here and I was lucky enough to be picked by Kitty to be August's Guest Designer. Bit nervous as I've seen the Design Teams projects and they are fab!! Hope mine are up to their standard!!!

So for my first ever project I've made a card with a few of my fav things.

Kitty has on pre order at My Mum's Craft Shop the absolutely gorgeous Saturated Canary stamps. This one is called Nevaeh. I've coloured her with Copics. The papers are from a pad by Prima called En Francais. These pads are great value as yes you get papers but you also get some really versatile ones that you can cut bits out of, hence the tickets that I have on my card. I've edged everything with TH walnut stain distress ink and stitched around the layered papers with a burgundy thread. The "thinking of you" comes from the Creative Expressions set - Art Sayings. Just some pearls to finish off.

Friday, 3 August 2012

Ok, I know, technically, owls don't tweet, but I couldn't think of a suitable hoot pun...

As you know, I'm a fan of having stash in the house that allows me to produce a card very quickly. Dedicated Birthday Diaries only work if you remember to look in them!

So, this hootiful (oh they're coming now!) Owl Die from the Sizzix Bigz Happi Collection is a winner for me.

In fact, I spent longer dithering about which papers to use from the First Edition New Leaf Pad, than I did sticking it all together. Job done!

Have a great weekend :)
