Bee Happy

Hi there, Tasha here, i wanted to show you how i used some yummy new goodies from MFT and Echo Park.

Today i was desperate to use MFT Groovy Girl Stamp - she is so fun and i knew i wanted to team her up with a BEE HAPPY sentiment. Well you can imagine my delight when i found these gorgeous bee style papers in the Echo Park Country Drive collection! They were a match made in heaven!
The colour combo lead me to use some gorgeous flowers from Prima Eline and these MMCS Hydrangeas, which have become my favourites they are ever so cute and pretty.
The scalloped edge was made using MFT Die-namics Simply Scallop Large, using some plain white card stock and some of the honeycomb style Echo Park Country Drive paper.
I really wanted to add some clouds behind the Groovy Girl, the little clouds are from the Die-namics You Move Me & Stamp Set, i think they are super cute and this set i think will become a firm favourite.
Die-namics File Tab provided a perfect place for me to stamp Happy Day which is a stamp from the Die-namics notched tag die and stamp set.
I finished with some black sparkly alphas like the Thickers available in store.

I hope you like it

Summery Sweet Thinkin' Mae

LinkHere is a card i made yesterday using the new Some Odd Girl Stamps that we have in store!
This one is called Sweet Thinkin' Mae. She is definitely my favourite so far and comes with the matching sentiment i have used on this card - how great is that?!

The papers are Echo Park Summertime...such a fab paper pad with lovely summery bright funky colours! I used my Martha Stewart Grass Punch (more on the way soon!) to create the grass and did the ovals using my Nestabilities - still love my nesties, who doesn't!

I also added a bit of ribbon from my stash and dotted some pearls around the edges. To finish i added some Roses and dabbed a bit of Stickles Glitter Glue on the edges!

Hope the sun is shining where you are...if not then hope this summery card bring some sunshine into your day!

*NEW* Christmas Gorjuss Stamps

We are so excited as we have just had the new Christmas Gorjuss Stamps arrive!
There are 6 new designs and each one comes with it's own little matching stamp accessories.
These are ever so cute...i want them all and a complete must have for this Christmas!
We hope to show you lots of inspiration using these beauties very soon.

Keep your eyes peeled for a summer sale that we will be launching very very soon!

SNS Blackberry and Basic Grey

Hi there Tasha here, so have you checked out the fabulous range of Sweet November Stamps that are in store? How adorable are they? They are all seriously cute, but Sweet November Blackberry has stolen my heart, she is a cutie patootie. She comes with her own Blackberries - bonus!

I started with a Back2Basics Straight Edge Square 148mm x 148mm card in white, chopping off half an inch from the side to make it slightly rectangle in shape.
I just knew that little Blackberry had to be teamed with the gorgeous Basic Grey Sweet Threads papers, the colours and prints are so pretty and totally suited to this stamp and the scene i wanted to create.
For this card i wanted to get as much out of the stamp as possible, so i built up a little scene behind Blackberry using the flowers from the berries. I stamped them repeatedly and then coloured and covered the flowers with Stickles Glitter Glue in Icicle. I then cut them out and tucked them behind the berries to create a woodland style scene :)
I then used some Prima E-Line Pearls & Crystals to create the swirl, now i created the swirl by hand because i enjoy making my own bling flourishes/swirls, but you can create the same effect using Primas E-line Crystals which are ready to go flourishes and a great way to embellish your card for maximum effect in minimal time.
To finish i knew i had to get out my trusted MFT dies to create some colourful butterflies, for this i used MFT Die-namics Butterflies and the sentiment is from the Die-namics notched tag die and stamp set, my go-to set!

That's it! Quite simple but hopefully effective find all the products i used IN STORE.

Have a fabulous day

Gimme an 'E'

Have you seen the adorably cutesome new Sweet Eline Stamps from Nellie Snellen in store? Be warned, it will be too hard to only pick one!

This little cutie just needed to go with some soft, feminine paper from the Spring Feast Paper Pad by First Edition. I can't bring myself to cut alot of the papers in this pad, especially the glittery ones. Too pretty.

I love these E Line Flowers from Prima too. You get different shades and some dotty ones in each pack. I have a couple of packets in different colours and they have got me out of a creative hole on a couple of occasions. And you can never have too many Dew Drops and Pearls in your stash in my book!

Have a lovely Sunday...

MFT Sew Nifty & Echo Park

I am in LOVE ... with the brand new My Favourite Things Die-namics Sew Nifty stamp and die set!

When I saw this set being previewed over at MFT I thought 'I have to have this set' and immediately emailed Kitty to request that she reserve me one to buy as soon as they arrived in the UK!  It is fabulous - 5 dies, 4 image stamps and 11 sentiment stamps all for the bargain price of £17.49!! I managed to use 4 dies and 3 image stamps on my card, but when I decorate the inside I will use a sentiment (or two) and the remaining die cut and image stamp!

I also used my fabby Echo Park Country Drive 12x12 papers.  I LOVE this kit, so much so that I will be ordering some additional sheets as I'm almost out of some - eek!!  Both the individual 12x12 sheets AND the brand new 6x6 Country Drive paper pad are available to buy right now at MMSC.

Here is a supply list, should you wish to do some retail therapy *wink*:

Today is the first day of our lovely, long 6 week summer vacation here in the UK - woo-hoo!!  School is officially out for summer as from today!!!!!! Yippee!!  Just hope the weather is better than last year.

If there is anything you want that is showing as out of stock, all you need to do is drop Kitty an email and she will sort you out! :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for dropping by!

I love the bright funky colours and the awesome patterns, they are so fun and so versatile too. I think its fab the pad has some great block colours too like this bright lime green and fab pink, super for matting and layering.
So being all fun and funky i knew i had to team these papers with the ultra hip and funky

Yep she is super cool dancing along with her iPod and not giving two hoots about who sees her crazy dance moves!

These are the other products i used on this card:

For my second card i went very feminine and girly so i pulled out

I love the soft colours and fabulous prints of this paper and i decided to make a little scene using some of it. For me it was clear who would look fab with this paper

I think she looks super sweet with her balloon and her cute little outfit. For the rest of the card i knew it had to be floral and feminine.
These are the other products i used on this card:

Did you know...

That My Mum's Craft Shop are one of only a handful of craft retailers in The UK to supply the rubber versions of the cutesome stamps from La La Land Crafts?

Starboy Luka is my first taste of LLLC and I have to say I want more. (I have Sweetheart Marci on my desk waiting to be inked up, but I still want more!) The rubber is a very good quality. They give a lovely crisp, stamped image and are so much fun to colour in. Not only that, but the actual images are a really good size. Starboy Luca is about 10cm high. I'm hooked.

Just as well Kitty has all the new releases on pre-order. The Fairy Tale Collection are starting to ship in a week or so, and there are further ranges due in August. I've seen them and I'm planning how to smuggle them into the house as I type!!

Otherwise, I've used three of my current favourite things on this card. Fly a Kite, Lime Twist by My Minds Eye Papers. I love this pad so much I've nearly used it all up. Stacking Stars by Die-Namics and the Star Border Die, also by Die-namics, which I used for the little tiny stars in the corner.

Well, that's all from me for now, have a great week.

Cakey Watt!

Morning, morning, morning! Well it's nearly the weekend, which is a nice to start to the day, don't you think? I'm super excited to be posting here, what a thrill to be working with such a talented team! :)

I thought I'd share a little card I made the other afternoon. I had a little free time whilst the boys were at the park, but I must have been pining for them, because when I was rifling through my stash trying to decide what to make, all the lush girly stuff was thrown to one side! And instead, the incredibly gorgeous Cakey Watt, by Christy Croll for Stamping Bella caught my eye.

When I was looking at him, and his scrummy little cake, all I could think of was someone shouting 'How Old?' Well, in the Friendship Ticket and Ticket Sentiment Stamps, from Whimsy Stamps, you also get a blank ticket stamp with a couple of sentiments provided for you to play with too. However, on this occasion, it suited me more to add my own sentiment. Perfecto.

The sentiment then made me think of the cool number paper from the Out of the Blue Pad (Lime Twist; My Minds Eye). This paper actually comes in two colourways in the pad and if you like your spots, stripes, stars, argyles and even trains, then this is the pad for you.

I stamped the little guy out in Black Memento Ink, added lashings of Copics and the rest, as they say, is history.

As for me, several hours later, two hungry, dirty boys descended on my craft room and the peace was shattered, but I think we all had a good time!

Enjoy your weekend...

Happy Day

Hello there! Tasha here, today i wanted to share with you might first DT card for MMCS.

I decided to take a break from my normal squae shaped card and create a circular card, i think the soft and fun prints of the dp lend themselves well to this shape.
I started by covering the base card with some paper from the Jillibean Soup - Blossom Soup collection. I like the cute little stars against this marine colour.
Then using a Cheery Lynn Tea English Tea Party Doily die i made the doily. I actually used the centre of a hideous 12x12 doily i had lurking in the cupboard to cut the doily from.
I then cut a circle from some more paper from the Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup collection to create a funky 'teen' background.
The image i used is Whiff Of Joy 'You Make the Grade' which i coloured in fun bright colours. I love this image i think she is super fun and great for the teens and any school themed projects.
For the tag and small butterflies i used My Favourite Things Die-namics Notched Tag Die & Stamp Set, this is one invaluable set. If you can only afford one set this is definitely the one to get. It comes with 9 dies (one of which is a butterfly and is my most favourite die) and so many sentiments and a few backgrounds for the tag - it really is a bargain.
I managed to throw in some My Minds Eye Bakers Twine - Together Twine, i love it! I think its definitely one of my must haves, especially in this colour!
The flowers i used are are My Mums Craft Shop Cherry Blossoms in Fuchsia Pink and some Prima E line  flowers. The flowers are topped off with some Craftwork Cards Card Candi in Botanicals.
I hope you like it!

If you want any of the products i used on my card you can find them at

love tasha xx
