Nordic Pines

Good morning people of the blog-o-sphere!! How windy was it for you at the beginning of the week?

To tell you the truth, people of the north east blew it all out of proportion (excuse the pun..), as we didn't have it half as bad, nay, quarter as bad as people on the south west coast. Wind speeds nai on 100mph - CRAZY!

I hope this post finds you all safe and warm!!

So this girl, is the adorable Birdie Kiddo from Stampendous. The expression on her face melts my heart. I wish a Robin would come land on my hand so I could have a chat!! She's been coloured with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and I've added a touch of Frosted Lace Stickles to the fluffy bits of her hat, coat and gloves - more for texture than glitter.

I've added the smallest cluster of three snowflakes from the MFT Snowflake Splendor set with Summer Sky Memento ink around the image before die cutting her with a circle.

So my paper is from a new collection by Bazzill Basics - Nordic Pines. I love them. It's my first pack of Bazzill papers and I have no idea why I waited so long to buy them - they're so thick and luxurious. Gorgeous colours and designs. Yum!! I've paired them up with some pink cardstock, some pink ribbon and a button to make this card a little more 'girly'.

For a finishing touch I die cut some snowflakes with the MFT Let it Snow dies from vellum and attached them with some dark pink gemstones from The Hobby House. These dies have to be amongst some of my most used! I LOVE snowflakes and they're perfect for those Christmas creations!

You've two days left to join in with the Halloween challenge - and the new challenge will be live on 1st November

Thank you for stopping by today. xo

Ornament Banner Greetings

Today i have a quick make that i made for My Mums Craft Shop using some of the latest MFT Christmas releases!
I created the background using the Music Sheet Background Stamp, this is a massive stamp so you can cover most cards up to 6" just by stamping it once, its fab! I also used the Ornament Border Die and stamped the matching Ornament Stamps onto it and added it using 3d foam to my card. New Ribbons and Toppers at My Mum's Craft Shop

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with my regular Sunday post. I have been playing with some of the lovely new goodies which have just arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop and have two cards for you today. Kitty has recently received a huge selection of printed ribbons and toppers which are going to be perfect for your Christmas cards this year. Both cards were very quick to make!

I used Vintage Presents ribbon on my first card and some matching paper from My Mind's Eye. I also added a Paper Smooches sentiment which is from the Christmas Sampler set. I finished with a wooden snowflake from my stash and a stick on gem.
The new Owl toppers are great fun and are already coloured in. They are a perfect match to the Bazzill basics Nordic Pines papers I have used. The ribbon is Christmas Hoot Tawny and I used it as my sentiment. I added another wooden snowflake and some punched Holly leaves to finish. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Halloween Week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog

Hello Everyone! We are starting a Halloween themed week this week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I have used my favourite Halloween papers from this year to make a quick card with no stamping or colouring which is unusual for me!

The papers I have used are from the My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting pad and I layered them on to orange card before adding them to the card base. I cut some toppers out from one of the pages in the pad and also layered them on to orange card and added some stitching before adding them to the card base. I added a spotty button and ribbon and a few die cut bats which I embellished with tiny black gems for their eyes. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Birthday Wishes - Preview

.. so I decided to take it upon myself to show you all a sneak.. of some new up and coming products to My Mum's Craft Shop!!

Kitty is absolutely spoiling us all with the new products she'll be stocking in the store, so keep your eyes peeled!!

Today, I thought I'd show you a card using

The Greeting Farm - Anya Styles

This is one of many larger style stamps from The Greeting Farm.
So far, there are six to add to your collection
- Anya Celebrates
- Anya Strolls
- Anya Blooms
- Anya Styles
- Anya Lifts
- Anya Treats

Their larger size means they're perfect for larger cards. This card is 5.752x5.75" and she fill it's perfectly, with just enough room around the edge for sentiments and embellishments.

I've used some My Minds Eye papers, and my card has been constructed on a Kraft UK card blank.
Some Mini Doily Circle Dies from My Favorite Things as well as some Royal Leaves
and a few Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, which may or may not be getting stocked too..
I SAID NOTHING!!

That's all from me today! ;) I hope this has put a smile on your face.
Fun times ahead. xo

A little preview....

Hello Everyone! I have some exciting news to share with you today and a little preview of some new stamps My Mum's Craft Shop will be stocking very soon! I was thrilled when Kitty told us that we would be getting a delivery of Lawn Fawn stamps. I have a couple of Lawn Fawn stamps already so I have made a card using one of them today and some of the new papers that arrived this week.

The papers I have used are from the Bazzil Nordic Pines pad. They are gorgeous and have a lovely texture. I die cut a little aperture for my Owl to sit in after I had coloured him in and cut him out. I added a little strip of ribbon between the aperture and the sentiment and then added a crochet flower topped with an old brad from my stash. I finished with some tiny stamped hearts filled with glitter glue and a stick on pearl. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Birthday Wishes

It was nothing but utter trials and tribulations to get this project made, photos taken, uploaded and posted on here. I wish I could show you something spectacular, but instead I have a couple of CAS tags to show you.

It's always handy to have a couple tags on hand, whether they be to add to a gift, or to add to a card front for a super quick CAS card!!

Apologies for the photo. It was taken on my phone as I seem to have *misplaced* my camera, and it's taken with my living room wall paper as the backdrop, as my desk looks like a bomb has hit. I'm not gonna lie.

So, these were made using some blank kraft tags, which you can pick up pretty much anywhere. I got mine from my trip to Hobbycraft at the weekend.

I have used a couple of My Favorite Things stamps:

I have added some Natural Hemp Cord to the tag holes, some washi tape to the 'male' themed tag and a little Hobby House pearl to the 'female' themed tag!

That's all from me today. I'm off to colour up some Greeting Farm *wink, wink*. xo

A gift card holder for 'Anything but a card' 'week

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with my regular Sunday post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. It is 'Anything but a card' week this week so I have a little gift card holder to share with you today.

I cut the gift card holder from kraft card using an old Sizzix die and then decorated it using Kaisercraft Enchanted papers. I added some pretty ribbon and a die cut butterfly and a little flower and stick on gems.

I added a little tag to the back cut from the papers using a Dienamics Fishtail die and stamped it with a sentiment from the Big Birthday Numbers set. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
