Anyone need a Free Hug?

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with another Saturated Canary card. This image is my favourite of all the Saturated Canary stamps which recently arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. I think she has beautiful eyes and I love her hair as well. She was really lovely to colour in.

I used papers from the gorgeous Glitz Design 'Hello Friend' paper pad which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I also added some of the beautiful Hobby House roses and stick on pearls.

My image was coloured with Promarkers and I added stitching around all the edges of my layers.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday! I will be playing with some of the new Christmas stash which I ordered this week, make sure you check out the new Products section of the website for some fabulous new goodies to get you started on your Christmas cards.

Stocking Fillers

Morning all :)
Today, I thought I'd share a little card and tag I've made with some fab stash from Store. They're not a matching set, but I did make them together!

So, what did I use? Well the cute penguins and sentiments are from a new Some Odd Girl set, Winter Friends, which I believe is coming to store soon. The papers are First Edition Stocking Fillers. And the dies? Memory Box Twirled Heart Border, Memory Box Pine Tree Border, and Die-Namics Rounded Banner Stax. A little bit of ribbon from my stash and some Bakers Twine and Bob's your Uncle!

Have a great weekend!

Christmassy Notes

Hello ... Thursday again which means its my turn to post on the blog again - yippee!! Today, instead of a card I thought I would make something a little bit different to share with you all. I have made a little christmassy notebook holder with a pocket to keep the notes and a pen/pencil holder so you are always ready to jot down notes, lists ect.

If you click the picture you should be able to zoom in and get a closer look at the details. I am LOVING the papers, they are by My Minds Eye - Winter Wonderland and are available here. I just love the paper that I used on the pocket, I have been thinking for ages on how to best use it without covering it up on a card, just perfect! The image is another of the new Wild Rose Studio Christmas releases, this one is called Snowman Hugs ans can be found here. The text "notes" was made using another of my new goodies from My Mums Craft Shop, it is a Tim Holtz Sizzix alphabet die. I simply finished it off with ribbon, a poinsettia and some gems.

I hope you like it! We all love it here at My Mums Craft Shop and I am currently making up a tutorial for you all so you can have a go at making your very own! I shall leave you all with this closer image of the front so you can have another peek at the gorgeous image - which was of course coloured in with my copics :) x x

Have you got Cute-a-tude?

Hi everyone!! Steph here and today is my last card as Guest Designer for My Mum's Craft Shop- boo hoo! I want to thank Kitty and the rest of the DT for having me, I've had a ball!! So for my final card, I've used MFT Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude.

I know a few girls (and women!!) this would be suitable for so I reckon I'm going to use this stamp a fair bit! I coloured her with copics and lyra shadow. I've paper pieced her dress. I also double stamped the flower in her hair and raised it up on a foam pad. These stunning summery papers are Echo Park For The Record 2- Documented.

The sentiment is one of 5 that come with the main stamp- another one is "sassy pants" which I love! I cut the sentiment out using the Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax.

Don't forget to check out the latest stock in at My Mum's Craft Shop here! x

Christmas Nativity

It looks like autumn is well and truly here.  It is sooooo cold!  But on a positive note that is just more of an excuse to stay inside and craft!

First off let me apologize for this post not being quite what it was planned.  Due to unforseen circumstances I wasn't able to complete this in its entirety.

Here is my card

I have used the newNativity scene from Woodware Clear stamps.
I love the simplicity of this image and kept the colouring 'blocky' to suit it.  I finished it off using white perfect pearls (which are my new favourite thing!!) Now this stamp fits perfectly onto a 3 x 3 inch card.  How ideal is this for school children to send to there friends?  This is where I wish my 13 year old was still little enough to do things like that!!
Why not stamp out a collection of these and then get your little one to colour them in themselves to give to their friends or teachers?  So much nicer than the shop bought ones and plus they then get to sit and colour with you!

And a £3.95 you can't go wrong!

As I said the plan was to have some of these coloured up by my niece for you to see aswell but unfortunately it didn't happen!  Maybe another time.

See you next week xxx

Ellie's Birthday

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good Weekend so far, I am hopefully on my way to Alexandra Palace right now and will be meeting up with Kitty for a coffee and a catch up. The new Saturated Canary stamps arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop this week and I had lots of fun yesterday playing with them. This lovely image is called 'Ellies Birthday' and is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I coloured my image with Promarkers and then cut it out leaving a small border and added it to my card using foam pads.

I finished with a rub on sentiment, some gems and flowers from my stash. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Beachy Beatrice

Hello! Steph here again. I've taken a break from all the Christmas cards I've been making and as we're on the last days of our summery September, I thought I'd make a card featuring CC Design's Beachy Beatrice.

Beachy Beatrice is coloured with copics and I've paper pieced her swimmy and cap. I double stamped the shell and starfish and raised them up on low 3d pads. These papers are the latest from MME called Bluebell, they're so beautiful. I've used the Catch a Wave Die-namic for the wave border and the sentiment is made with the brand new High Rise Lower Case Alphabet Die-namic. I sooo love this font!  Will be great for Christmas cards too I reckon- definately an essential purchase!

Close up. I love her little rounded tummy!

Annabelle's Christmas Part Two

Align Centre
Morning all :)

Today I'm sharing the second card I made with the pretty Christmas stash recently released from Wild Rose Studio.

This is another panel from the Annabelle's Christmas Printed Panel Packs. I've used an old Whimsy Sentiment Stamp to add a postmark. The papers are Annabelle's Christmas Paper Pack. Both cards I made this week were actually pretty quick to make, once I'd finished dithering about what exactly to use!

I've also used Die-Namics Wonky Scallop Border Die and some Bakers Twine to finish. Job done!

Have a great weekend.

Christmas Nativity

Hello, its Zoe again. With the weather getting colder I really felt the need to make something a little christmassy. I dont think there is an image out there any cuter than this!! Seriously - I have looked!! This cutie is called Nativity Play and she can be found in the shop here. It is definately my favourite stamp, sheep and a baby - whats not to love!!

I have coloured the image in with my Copic Markers, I literally have no idea how I used to colour before them, I can't even remember what I used - what did we do before alcohol markers eh?  lol! These scrummy papers are Bazzill Basics Believe and they too can be found in My Mums Craft Shop here. Such beautiful traditional papers perfect for a nativity scene. Thats pretty much it for my card, I left it nice and simple to show off the gorgeous image, added a bit of paper twiney ribbon, a little charm and a sentiment :)

I shall leave you with a close up of this cutie ... im off to shop for more christmas crafting goodies :p x x

Howdy!

Howdy y'all! Hope y'all doing good! Steph here to show you a card featuring MFT Pure Innocence Cowgirl!

I decided to make a little scene for my cowgirl using a variety of digi images and stamps all coloured with copics. It's fab what little scenes you can create when you gather together a variety of stamps!

Here is Cowgirl- isn't she the cutest?! I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her outfit using papers from MME'On The Bright Side. She looks like she's got country style! She's standing in front of the Dienamics Woodgrain fence. Can you see her lasso?

Tee hee! I've had a little fun with this wanted poster!!

These horses are an old MFT stamp from their Punny Farm set which I masked and restamped 3 times and then coloured with copics.

Have a great Wednesday x

Annabelle's Christmas Part One

Today I'm sharing some of the lovely cuteness recently released from Wild Rose Studio.

This image is from the Annabelle's Christmas Printed Panel Packs. They're printed on lovely thick card and coloured beautifully. The papers are Annabelle's Christmas Paper Pack. This was such a quick card to make, but because of the patterns on the paper, it looks like it might have taken a little longer. Ideal for getting you out of a corner!

The hearts are an old die I have from Cats Pajamas. Talking of Cats Pajamas, I have it on good authority, CP Stamps are coming to Store soon...

Have a great week.

Halloween treats

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with my regular Sunday post. I have been having lots more fun with the lovely Halloween goodies Kitty has in stock at My Mum's Craft Shop this week, I got a bit carried away using the adorable CC Designs Meoples Witches and Goblins set and I have used them to decorate a couple of little treat boxes and a card.

The images are quite small so they were just the right size to decorate these boxes I cut with a Sizzix die. The perfect size to stuff with some little Halloween treats. The sentiments I have used are from the
CC designs Halloween sentiments set and I die cut them with a label die and inked around the edges.

The little die cut bats  have used were cut using a Memory Box Swooping bats die. I added some gems to the larger ones to look like beady eyes!

I'm not sure which one is my favourite, they were so quick to colour in and are just perfect for adding to tags and to personalise your treats this Halloween.

Here is the full set with some yummy sweeties! All the paper are from the Bazzill Basics All Hallows Eve pack.  I hope you are having a good weekend.

These stunning papers are new from Prima called Rosarian. The sentiment comes with the main stamp and is cut out using the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namic. I added some Baker's Twine.

Hi Honey Bee-trice!

Morning Folks :)

I am LOVING the Echo Park For the Record 2 Tailored paper pad at the moment, it's been pretty much butchered and I don't have much left. Boo, hiss.

Do you ever see an image and know immediately what papers you're gonna put with it? Yep, me too, that's what happened when I saw CC Designs Honey Bee-trice. And this is the result. Hope you like.

Have a great weekend...

Bella & Her Presents

Hello everyone, Its my time to post on the blog today, I have another Wild Rose Studio creation to share with you made with LOTS of yummies available from My Mums Craft Shop. How cute is this little elephant, she is Bella with Presents, and I have coloured her in with my copic markers. The papers are also from Wild Rose Studio, Strawberry Picnic - quite possibly the scrummiest paper I have ever seen! You cant see it too well as I have covered it up but the panel behind the image has bunting on it - sooo soo pretty!

I have decorated the card with a doily behind the image, some gorgeous little die-namics butterflies decorated with some pearls and a selection of different roses and cherry blossom flowers. The sentiment is a craftwork cards circle sentiment and it has been layered up with nestabilities circle and scalloped circle dies. To create a bit of a shabby chic feel I have distressed the edges of the papers slightly.

Thank you soo much for looking today and feel free to have a look around the shop, there are new scrummy goodies coming in all the time :) x x x

Hi everyone! Steph here again to show you a little MFT Pure Innocence cutie set called Picture Perfect!

I've coloured her with copics and then a lyra pencil shadow. These beautiful papers are by Cosmo Cricket called Baby Jane. They're so pretty so I paper pieced her outfit using them- don't you just love her boots? Very Cath Kidston!! The speech bubble was made using the Say What? Die-namic and the sentiment is one of 5 that comes with the Picture Perfect stamp. I've then used the Die-namics Woodgrain Fence and the banner is made using the Die-namics Banner Strip.

Yep, definately a cutie pie!!

Stampendus Christmas

Can you believe it is Monday again already!  Where is the time going!

I popped into the shop one day last week, I have still yet to decide whether living so close is a blessing or a curse, there is always so much that catches my eye and when I saw this stamp, I knew it had to come home with me.

*NEW* Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamps - Tree Trim Kiddo

Isn't it just adorable??  This is called Tree Trim Kiddo and is by Stampendous.  This is my first stamp by them and I have to say it won't be my last.  This is a large image and it stamps just beautifully.
Here is my first Christmas card using it.

This is a 6x6 card blank so you can see the size of the stamp.
I kept the card nice and simple, I didn't think it needed to much.
The papers are actually from a pad that a lovely friend in America sent over for me.
This has been coloured using Copics and finished of with a Christmas tree charm, a scrap of twine and some glitter dimensional paint (again from my American friend)

So have you started your Christmas cards yet??

A Christmassy Tag

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good weekend. Jane here today with a little Christmas inspiration for you using one of the fabulous new Stampendous stamps which arrived this week at My Mum's Craft Shop.

The image I have used on my tag is called 'Birdie Kiddo' which is out of stock at the moment, I am sure Kitty will be getting these back in stock very soon as they have been so popular. I used papers from the My Mind's Eye 'All is Bright' pad and lots of embellishments from my stash.

Here is close up of my image. I coloured it in with Promarkers and cut it out leaving a small border before adding it to my tag with foam pads. I added some glitter to the fur on her cute little hat and coat too. She is such a little cutie and I love the tiny bird she is holding too. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Catherine Nibbling Chocolate

Hi MMCS-lovers! Steph here again and I'm here to show you a card I've made using Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Catherine Nibbling Chocolate

I coloured her with copics and added a teeny bit of lyra pencil for shading. I also added some Stickles to her dress and the black on her dress and shoes has been done with a black gel pen to add shine. These stunning papers are the latest from Prima called Romance Novel- they're certainly evocative of bodice-ripping romance to me! The pretty rose is created using a Rolled Rose Die-namic and the heartsy swirl is a Magnolia die. The sentiment comes with the Uptownie stamp.

Bit more of a close up! Oh to own a dress like that and still be able to eat a box of chocs!!

Don't forget to check out the what new stock has arrived this month so far here! x
