DIY Legend

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with yet another card for Men. I recently received some of the new Wild Rose Studio papers from the 'Man about town' paper pack which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop. They are just fabulous! The colours are very sophisticated and the patterns are great.
I used 3 different papers layered onto black card to build up my card design and wrapped the largest layer with black ribbon tied in a bow.

I stamped the DIY Legend stamp onto white card and cut it out leaving a small border before adding it to the square panel with foam pads. I used the Dienamics Stacking stars die to cut some more stars from black card and added them to the card with glue. I popped a sentiment from the Birthday Circles set on top of the largest star and finished with lots of little stick on gems.
I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Queen for a day

With it being the Jubilee just around the corner there was only one way to go with this weeks inspiration card.
I had to use the some of the latest Cool Britannia collection from Kanban.  There is a wide variety of different backing cards and 2 sheet die cut packs to choose from.  The problem will be which ones to get!!!  Living close to the shop I was able to pop in and get what I wanted only to return 30 mins later for some more!!!
The stamp is from Stamping Bella and is called Ava loves to celebrate.  I thought this was a super cute image to use with this Kanban card stock.  I also went with the 'Queen for a Day' sentiment and the traditional red, white and blue flowers to finish it off.

I hope you like.

Cute-A-Tude

Morning All :)

I thought I'd quickly pop up a card I made the other day, before I scootchy back out into the garden. I really had a lot of fun with this one, I just love the sentiment, it reminds me a little of, well, me!

The little madam I've used is My Favourite Things Pure Innocence Cute-A-Tude.
Whilst I'm talking about MTF, you know I couldn't help using some Die-Namics too; Open Zig Zag Border. And the papers? Echo Park Hello Summer.

Have a great week.

HB2U

Morning Peeps :)

So, it looks like I am single handedly responsible for the current heatwave in The UK... For weeks, we've had nothing but rain, hailstones and then a bit more rain. The minute I make a 'topical' card featuring some rain, an umbrella and a rather fab pair of pink wellies, and Voila! My Central Heating Control is getting dust on it!

I've used some really pretty and very colourful Bazzill Basics Avalon Papers with Stamping Bella Uptown Girls Lolly and her Brolly. Of course, I couldn't resist using some Dies, so I dug out Die-Namics By the Letters, Die-Namics By the Numbers Die only, and Die-Namics Open Zig Zag Border. Topped off with a few flower buttons for good luck. Hey Presto... Heat Wave.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are.

Cool Britannia

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with something a bit different again from me this week :-) Isn't it fun to try something new once in a while! Kitty recently received a delivery of the Cool Britannia Kanban collection and I couldn't resist having a play with some of the papers and sentiments to create a card and gift for my Father In Law.

I first made an easel card with a kraft card base and then added toppers and sentiments and lots of bits and bobs from my stash to decorate the card.

I altered an acetate box we received with some office supplies to put a little gift or voucher in. I simply cut pieces of the Union Jack paper and sewed around the edges and stuck it to the box with double sided tape. I lined the box with kraft card to hide the messy tape.

I added a sentiment circle to which I added ribbon tails and a little button as a finishing touch with a couple of pearls. This range is fabulous for making Men's cards, perfect also for Father's Day!
Have a lovely Thursday!

Good friends

Today I am showing you a card I have made that is a break from the normal things I like to do.
Having a background in fashion and wedding dress design, these beautiful antique dress forms from Creative Expressions were an absolute must for me!  The set includes 5 different dress forms, 2 accessory stamps and 6 sentiments.  These come unmounted so you will need some EZ mount or something simular (Kitty will be able to help you with this if you have any questions).
I embossed my dress forms and sentiment and used some black embossing powder to give them some dimension and shine.  The papers I have used all come from the Almanac pad from Prima.  The ripped corrigated card is something I always have in my stash!!  I have distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink from Tim Holtz.

(Having just read this through I have spotted the 'deliberate' mistake on my card!!!  Can't believe I have done this...... I obviously didn't stamp the sentiment properly with the embossing ink because I seem to have lost the last 'er' on the end of never!!......  I can assure you this is my mistake and the stamps are all complete!!!!)
Guess I will be remaking this then!!  Good job it doesn't take to long and still looks pretty good..... then again do you think anyone will notice??? lol!!!!

Have a great day xxx

Steampunk dreams

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week. Jane here today with something a little bit different for me. I have been having some fun playing with my distress inks and brushes!

The card I have to share with you today was made using some gorgeous stamps from the Creative Expressions 'Steampunk Dreams' set which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I created a background using Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet distress inks and Dreamweaver brushes then stamped some of the cogs and butterflies using more distress inks.

The dressform and little butterflies were stamped onto kraft and cut out and I stamped the dress form again onto a bookpage and cut out the wings and placed it behind the dress form. I stamped the sentiment and then sewed around the edges before adding to black card and the card base and then added the dressform, metal cog and butterflies. I finished with a button, a paper rose and some gems. I hope you have a lovely Thursday.

Rain!!

Here is my card for this week.  Yes, I know I have used the gorgeous Sun Kiss papers from Prima again this week but I think they are my favourite at the moment!!  They remind me that even with all the rain we have been having, that beautiful things appear because of it!  And there is nothing quite as nice as seeing a line of sunflowers in full bloom.   And these papers are perfect with this adorable stamp from Stamping Bella.  This is Lolly and her Brolly...... how cute is she!!  I tinted the edges of all the papers with the Antique Linen distress ink..

Why not visit the store and see all the new 'inky' goodies Kitty has arriving all the time.  The are alsorts coming in along with the things we all know and love like the die-namics etc!!

Hobby Art Stamps are coming!

Today i have a lil preview of some more stuff that is expected over at MMCS very soon!
By popular request we now have Hobby Art Stamps on the way and expected in anyday now :)
Here is a few cards made with some of the Poppies Stamps.
They are really simple cards, just stamped then coloured with Copics. I used R29, R27 & YG63. I then used some 3D glue over the top of the red poppies to make them a bit more 3D and they have a lovely shiny effect.

To find out the latest updates at MMCS, join us on our Facebook Page!

In the Meadow

Today I get to share with you my second little sample of yumminess featuring some of the fantastic new Wild Rose Studio goodies that can be found over at My Mums Craft Shop

This little sweatheart is one of WRS newest characters. Meet Annabelle In the Meadow. Soo pretty and elegant and a joy to colour. The papers are from Annabelles Meadow paper pack and were designed to match the images in the new range perfectly- the flowers in the image have been repeated in the background papers - how cool is that! Another pretty simple layout, embellishing the card with just a few 3mm adhesive pearls, some butterflies cut from MFT butterfly die-namics and a single rose. Just goes to show that you don't have to be the best cardmaker in the world to make something beautiful, simple can be stunning!

Best Wishes from Bella

Today I have the first of two cards I have made featuring some yummy Wild Rose Studio goodies. My Mums Craft Shop stocks lots of Wild Rose Studio goodies here, with many designs currently in the sale!!

My card today features Bella the elephant with flowers... quite possibly my FAVOURITE elephant stamp ever, sooooo cute - who wouldn't want an elephant to bring them flowers! I have of course coloured Bella in using my Copic markers. The papers used are also by Wild Rose Studio and are from the Bella paper pack. A simple card design, but perfect for using up scraps and highlighting different designs in a paper pad! Im kinda liking the patchwork look and as a real bonus I got to show you what 5 of the designs in the paper pack look like - aren't they all stunning!!  I have finished the cards off by mounting Bella with my scalloped square nestabilities and adding a Craftwork Cards circular message which has been mounted onto circle nested shapes - that really is it - see simples!!!!!

I hope you all have a fabby friday and I shall see you on Sunday with some more Wild Rose Studio yumminess - ooooh I cant wait!!

Hello.....Summer?

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week so far.Jane here today and I am sharing a mini card today  I have made using some of the new goodies that recently arrived in the Shop.

I have a lovely growing collection of Pure Innocence stamps and couldn't resist slipping this one in my basket as soon as I saw her.  She is called 'Freckles' and looks lovely coloured in bright colours and paper pieced to match the beautiful Hello Summer papers from Echo Park which are available here.
To make the card, I cut a card blank from white card using a Spellbinders die and cut another scalloped circle the same size from stripey paper. I punched green patterned paper with a Martha Stewart grass punch and added it to the bottom of some cloud paper before die cutting it into a circle and stitching it to my scalloped circle. The cloud was cut with a Die-namics die and topped with a sentiment that came with the stamp and a button die cut with another Die-namics die. The little flower is from the Hobby House.
Have a lovely Thursday!

Scraptastic!

Morning Peeps!

I'm here with a little tag I made earlier in the week. I challenged myself to use only scraps of card from the mountain of it I insist on keeping, as I may need it in the future!! Go on, tell me you're smiling because you do the same...

Anyhoo, it was really easy to do using Die-Namics Tag You're It Die & Stamp Set and the new Die-Namics Squiggle Border Die. I've used a really old CC Designs Stamp that I had been on the verge of selling, but you could pop any image at the bottom, and there are certainly plenty to choose from in Store. Ooh and don't forget to check out the Spring Sale, there are still bargains to be had!

Have a great day :)

Daisy, Daisy........

I hope you all had a wonderful bank holiday weekend...... My father in law is still in hospital over 3 hours away so Graham has gone back up there to try and get things sorted for when he comes out.... everything is really up in the air and we don't know if we are coming or going right now!!

Thank heavens I have a hobby to keep me busy!!

Today I am showing you the gorgeous Daisy Mae from Kraftin Kimmie.

I have used the beautiful new paper pad from Prima called Sun Kiss.  I fussy cut 3 butterflies out of another sheet from the pad and just fixed them down the 'body' leaving the wings free to give a sense of dimension.  The web ribbon and bow  also helped with this.  My good old faithfull Oval Stax dies from Die-namics came in very handy again for matting and layering the image and sentiment.  Two gold corners and 3 gold pearls finihed off the card.

I used my copics to colour this image and of course Kitty also has them in store too!!!

Have a great day whatever you are up to.

Take care
Trudie xx

Nice weather for Wellies!

Morning Peeps.

Will it ever stop raining? To help brighten up this miserable weather, I thought I'd share a card I've made with the ever so fab Alora paper pad from Bo Bunny. They are so bright and cheerful, I dare you not to smile when you see them.

The stamp is a new Release from CC Designs, called Laugh Lines Garden. Everyone should have a pair of spotty Wellies, don't you think?

And a card is not complete for me these days without an application of Die-Namics! I've used Trio of Flowers.

Well, I hope you have a fab day, whatever you get up to.

Rose

Today I am bringing you Rose from Kraftin Kimmie.  She is now avaiable in store along with all her flower friends and the new Wizard of Oz collection aswell.

I decided to go with a muted, kinda vintage feel with this card and so chose colours and papers to suit this.  These papers are from Romantic by Prima,  I have also used some plain papers that I had floating around in my stash......  I edged everything with either Tattered Rose or Walnut Stain distress inks.  The dies I have used are the good old Nesabilities labels 4 and Die-namices  oval stax 1.

I created the bouquet using 4 different styles of flowers, all available in store and finished it off with a length of antique rose seam binding.  The lace, dragonfly and sentiment are all things I am sure most of us have hiding away in amoungst everything!!

Have a wonderful day and see you next week xxxx
