Celebrate with Queenie and Princess

Hi everyone! Steph here and it's day 2 of our "Celebrations" themed week and I'm showcasing a gorgeous Saturated Canary stamp.

I've used this beautiful image by Saturated Canary called Queenie and Princess- it's such a joy to colour and is a fabulously HUGE image! I coloured with copics. These papers are soooo pretty- they're by Teresa Collins and are called Tell Your Story. I've used them so much so watch out for lots more cards coming with these papers. Love that colour combo especially! The sentiment is Paper Smooches from the Sentiment Sampler- best fonts ever! Finally I finished off with a bit of sticky lace and these pretty little pearls.

Close up! Such a gorg image to colour.

Don't forget our Monthly Challenges start tomorrow! Yay! x

My Mum's Craft Shop Theme Week - Celebrations

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. Our theme this week is 'Celebrations' so we will be sharing some inspiration for your cards to mark upcoming Celebrations in 2013. I am sharing a card made with the adorable Tobie from Some Odd Girl who is celebrating with a rather large cake! He is currently out of stock at My Mum's Craft Shop but there are loads more gorgeous Some Odd Girl stamps here in the Shop.

The papers I used are by Carta Bella and unfortunately this pad is sold out. I used the Dienamics looped border to cut a strip of blue paper to hide the join in my papers.

Here is a close up of my coloured in Tobie. I coloured him in with my Promarkers and then added some glitter glue to the icing on the cake. I cut Tobie out leaving a small border and added him to the card with foam pads. I finished with a little blue stick on pearl in the top right corner. Thanks for stopping by and make sure you leave comments this week for the chance to win some Candy!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Last Minute Christmas cards

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I have 3 quick cards to share with you which were made using some of the gorgeous Wee Stamps toppers which are available for only £1.00 here at My Mum's craft shop.

I had a little panic last week and I realised I had not made enough cards to send!  I managed to make these 3 very quickly using scraps from my scraps box layered onto red card.

I added some Pink Petticoat sentiments and some flowers and other bits and bobs from my stash. These toppers  are perfect for making little girls Christmas cards.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and good luck with all your Christmas preparations!

Make A Wish

Hello peeps, Kitty here :)
This was quite a simple card and pretty easy to create. I am quite liking creating scenes with stamps at the moment and boy are they quicker than colouring charactors!
This card features stamps by the fabulous Inkylicious Stamps.
I created the background using some inks, i think they were Memeno Dew Drops but any inks will work for this. The dandelion stamps are called Make A Wish and are a total bargain as only £3.49 for the stamp set. It is actually one of our most popular stamp sets but if it is out of stock don't worry it won't be long before it is back in stock again. We are going to be having a big Inkylicious delivery soon.

Catch you all soon :)

Make sure you leave comments on the posts and a winner will be drawn to win some fabulous candy. I have used the fabulous 'Dress up Snowman' on my card with the coordinating die.

I used Carta Bella 'Merry and Bright' papers for my card and to paper piece the lovely Snowman's hat and jumper and a rub on sentiment from my stash. The snowy hills were cut with the dienamics 'snow drift' die and I added glitter glue to them before adding my snowman on top. I finished with a velvet ribbon and a striped button. Morning All :)

With Christmas getting as close as it is now, I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made using a Hunkydory Crafts Kit. There's plenty to use in the kit, I've made these two cards and there's enough left for a few more if you added your own stamped image. I found the main toppers quite large, but the easy solution was to cut them up! Job done.

Here Come's Santa

Hello Peeps!!
Woohoo December is here, although i hate the weather i LOVE Christmas!!
I am sooo looking forward to Santa visiting the Frampton/Hawkins household and with that thought in mind i thought i would share my latest creation using my new Inkylicious Stamps.
I am quite into scenic stamps and creating backgrounds at the moment, just wish there were more hours in the day so i could get inky more often as it's soooo much fun. I created the background with just two Memento Dew Drops using my Dreamweaver Brushes - they are super easy to use!! I only used two Inkylicious Stamps on this card, Santa's Sleigh (which also has the sentiment) and Silhouette Town. This was quite quick to make especially when compared to colouring charactors etc. I am quite liking the simple look as they say sometimes less is more.

Hope you like my creation today :)

You Shine!

Can I just say- brrrrrrr???!!!! How cold has it turned?!!! Today I am showcasing one of the A La Modes from the latest MFT release called You Shine.

The fab thing is that Kitty has 15% off all Christmas stock including this stamp which you can buy here!! Already made all your Christmas cards? Do what I do, take advantage of the sale for making next year's cards!!

I've coloured You Shine with copics and paper pieced her cowl neck jumper. I double stamped all the ornaments, cut them out individually and raised them up on 3d foam pads to give more depth. These papers are Carta Bella Merry and Bright. I've used one of the sentiments that came with the image and cut out using the File Tab Dienamic. The sketch I've used is roughly based on an old MFT one.

Close up! Such a fun stamp- love the hair decoration too! x

Love you a latte!

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am sharing the card I made for my Hubby's Birthday last Sunday. I used the adorable 'Latte Monkey' stamp by CC designs which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I coloured him in with my Promarkers and then cut him out leaving a small border.

I used papers from the Bazzil Basics Believe pad which is on special offer at My Mum's Craft shop. They are Christmas papers but love fabulous with Kraft and I thought these ones are great for Men's cards. I used various Dienamics dies to cut tags and stamped them with sentiments from my stash and finished with some stick on gems and some funky red twine. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

My Mum's Craft Shop Theme Week - Tags

Hello Everyone! Jane here today and I am kicking off another themed week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. Our theme this week is 'Tags' so I have a selection of tags to show you which I have embellished with Little Claire Peel Offs.

I used the shed from the Lazy Days sheet on my first tag which I had cut out using a Dienamics tag die. The papers I used are from the Gnome Sweet Gnome My Mind's Eye pad. I stuck the peel off onto white card and then coloured it in with Promarkers. I added some ribbon and a charm and finished with some flowers and gems.

I used some left over scraps of papers to decorate some luggage tags and added some peel off images from the 'Oh Man' sheet. These were all coloured with Promarkers and die cut into circles before I added the to the tags. The sentiments are also all on the sheets. Make sure you pop back tomorrow for another Tag themed project! Have a lovely Sunday!

Paper Smooches are in the building!

Oh it's a miserable, damp afternoon out there... The kind of afternoon that has me running for the craft room, biscuit in one hand (long gone now) and mug of tea in the other.

I'm really excited as Kitty has started stocking Paper Smooches in Store. Yippee! Mine arrived yesterday and I've been itching to get at them (yep, that's plural). I'm not telling you which set I've used, you can go check them out instead! So it's just as well it's a bit of damp squib today really.

You know what else I like to do when it's yuck outside? Shopping. Online specifically. I can do it without venturing out. And... Not that I'm trying to encourage you in any way. (Ahem!) There's currently free shipping in The UK, (halved for Worldwide.) on any order (minimum spend £5) placed in the Online Store before midnight on 25 November. No codes. No messing. Just shopping. Happy Days.
