Bailey has a Baby

Morning everyone it's Shelly's turn up on the blog today.  I am super excited today as we are off camping on Monday for a week in the Lake District.  Fingers crossed we get the weather !

For my card today I have used one of the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps called Bailey Has a Baby.  Isn't she gorgeous and super stylish too after having a baby lol.

I spent a good hour colouring her in with my Copics and even attempted to do a proper floor for the first time.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Did you know that My Mum's Craft Shop now stocks the gorgeous My Favourite Things paper pads?  The paper on my card is from the Plaid Patterns 6 x 6 pad and to tie in with the brown colouring in my image I have matted everything onto brown cardstock.

I kept the colour scheme quite generic so it would suit a baby boy or girl.

I've finished off with some buttons here and there and also a sentiment from Paper Smooches.

That's it from me for today, I am off now to finish my packing :-)

Have a great weekend everyone

A Little Something to Brighten your Day

Good morning everyone it's Shelly here today with some floral inspiration for you.

I've kept it quite simple this week with a nice bright colour scheme after such a damp and miserable week's weather!

The papers are from the Hello Sunshine paper pad by Doodlebug which is one of my favourites of theirs, the colours are just so bright and funky.

I've cut the scalloped rectangle from the Dienamics Blueprints 1 die set as well as the white panel which I have faux stitched and mounted onto green card before popping onto my card.

To get the faux stitching effect I have pricked around the edges of my panel with my pricky tool (sorry haven't a clue what the proper name is for it lol!) and drawn my stitching on with a pink fineliner.

I then stamped my flowers onto a variety of the patterned papers from the pad using the WPlus9 Blanket Stitched Blooms stamp set, cut them out and mounted onto my card using foam pads.

The sentiment is also from the stamp set and I have also mounted this using foam pads to make it pop.

Well that's all from me for today.  I hope you have a lovely Saturday whatever you are up to.

As cool as you are......

Hey guys!
Time for me to share another make today at My Mum's Craft Shop....
I could not resist pairing these 2 release products up , as these "Penguins  in Paradise" stamps are so adorable, and I love how the latest "Birthday Centrepiece" die fits just perfectly .
To cut the base layers I used the Blueprints 20 die set.

So, there you have it, and easy peasy shaker card, and I LOVE it!!!
Check out the store for all the latest products, and of course, the restocks... you are gonna NEED these!
Have a fun day!

Birthday Girl

Morning everyone it's Shelly here with my latest DT creation.

Megs started her summer holidays today and then she goes back as a junior in September....scary or what!  I seriously don't know where the time is going.  She is already planning her birthday party and that isn't until December lol.

Speaking of birthdays my card this week is birthday themed and I've done a scallop circle easel style design using the cute Birthday Girl Stamp by A Random Fan for CC Designs.

I've coloured her with Copics to match my papers which are from the Patriotic Picnic pad by Doodlebug and matted all of my panels onto navy cardstock.  I always hate breaking into a Doodlebug pad, I could just sit and stroke the papers instead of using them....I'm sure you fellow crafters know what I mean!

The large flower comes from the MFT Blueprints 14 die set and then I have die cut my happy birthday from some letter dies I have had in my stash for so long I don't even know where they are from.

A few embellishments to finish off, ribbons and buttons etc and there you have it.

I hope you all have a lovely Saturday, we are off out shopping for some camping gear.
